In the middle of the hurricane, where ALL the hotels we booked cancel us for free due to the evacuation order for all of Florida, danger in Georgia and SC, these characters who get dirty for a little, charge us the cancellation because they say they are operating. There is no way to reach them, everyone is evacuating, all hotels in full emergency. We're luckily safe and thankfully away from these Captain Pip's people. So that they take into account that the only thing they want from the client is their money regardless of anything else. It is not a place to recommend and the human matters. I repeat, it is the only lodging in this emergency situation that behaved like this. We keep claiming our money. Do not go!

I'm local to the area, I generally live on my lovely sailboat. I work from home and between the rocking and heavy rain making my Starlink Internet have issues, I decided to find a room at the last minute... in the keys, no small task. Peggy at the main office was very helpful, friendly and accomodating. The room is very lovely and well worth the price. Amenities are above average, the bed comfortable, room clean, everything works, and, real coffee maker rather than the 1 cup plastic mess you often see. If I were visiting instead of local, I would be quite happy with the location, walking distance to a few restaurants, an onsite marina for boat rentals etc. I can barely hear the very light drone of a TV in the next room and occasional gentle thump from the one above, but, quite fine, the wind is whipping about 40mph with gusts around 50mph and you cant even tell from inside. All in all a 5 star experience and highly recommended if you are coming to the area.

Was provided a folder with amenities & room key to and “upgrade” once we arrived the key opened the door to an apt someone was already in. Money lost & lesson learned - never again

Both Captain Larry & Patrick were wonderful with the guests. The reef and where they chose to “park” was spectacular. Yes a lot of this depends on the weather but we called for the 9am and they suggested the 1pm. Couldn’t have been better, saw so many kinds of fish, beautiful coral, nurse shark and barracuda. Limited jellyfish (again depends on the tide) and when we did see them and the tykes onboard got nervous Patrick was there to help calm them down. As someone without kids, this was really above and beyond helpful, I really appreciated it!

There were no laundry facilities when we were there in June 2016, but on the other side of the highway not far from pips is a laundry which we used a couple of times, not expensive and they do it all for you if you want, perfect for me as I'm useless when it comes to anything like that
I would call them
No there is not a boat ramp on the property. We launch our boats from the public ramp on 33rd street, bay side.
No pet allowed. Usually into a restaurant or where is server food, pets are not well come, it's hygenic rools.
If you are a guest of our hotel you can bring your boat, depending on size, and we do have boat dock-age and trailer storage. We do charge a minimal fee of $2.50 per foot plus tax, per day.
I as well. I was there December 2017. They are up and running.
There is a pool. It's pretty nice. Good sunset location too. Didn't rent boats. There are better places to eat than porkys.
Captain Pips has a 30 Day cancellation policy for the rooms and 48 hour cancellation policy for boat rentals. We do require a 50% deposit amount on all rentals.
What is the name of the suite? Swordfish? Flounder? I stayed in the swordfish, don't expect the hyatt, but it is clean, up to date and quaint. Everything is a close together on the property. The one I stayed in is on a canal, most everything else is waterfront. If you stay there and want excellent breakfast, I recommend la nina cafe a short walk away.
No laundry facilities on-site.
