Annette from food services delivers excellent customer service. She really takes her job seriously. The hotel is undergoing renovation. Therefore it was quite underwhelming. Nonetheless, People continue to try and be polite. The rooms definitely need updating and proper cleaning. The folks passing through Huntsville are actually the best part. All of the guests were friendly and engaging during the “cocktail“ hour from 530 to 7.

Even though the hotel is under construction and having stayed in 2 different rooms I have to say it wasn't too bad. Every single employee was so very nice and helpful. I was very pleased with their customer service. The outside of the hotel is a whole other world. The walk ways around the hotel with the water, ducks, fish and fountains was absolutely amazing and such a peaceful place to walk or just sit and watch the wildlife. The skybridge leading over to the arena for a show was the perfect touch to a great trip. If I am in Huntsville again for another stay I will spend it here.

Room was not clean when we checked in. However, hotel staff (Sid) quickly found us a nicer room and gave my kids a snack pack while they waited. Second room was perfect and comfortable. Breakfast was awesome. Lots of variety and cooked well. Annette on the wait staff was so welcoming and sweet. She filled us in on the happenings around the hotel and gave great service. Construction was ongoing but quiet and didn’t interrupt our stay or sleep.

Here's the thing. The staff gets 5 stars for handling my issues but the hotel is not as nice as advertised. When staying at an Embassy Suites you are expecting somewhat upscale accommodations. While the room I had reserved was a massive 2 room suite and the pool area and dining / bar area were nice, that's about where it ends for good impressions. We were staying on the top floor and I had reserved a wellness suite (shower water filter/air purifier in room ) and once my family and I got to my room I wasn't sure we were in the correct room. The only thing that led me to believe this was a wellness suite was the shower had the filter on it. No air purifier in the room which would have been useful as the room had a smell of BO to it. The carpet had stains all over and it was dark and dated. Within the first 20 minutes I immediately had to call Hilton to try and cancel and book elsewhere and we weren't in the room for more than an hour. Hilton customer service was able to resolve my issues by booking us at another Hilton property. The front desk offered to move us to a different room but at that point we just wanted to leave. The location is great and the rooms are big but this hotel is in dire need of a refresh.

I have stayed there several times and it has a separate living/eating g room with a pull out bed under couch. You may want to rent a car or use uber or some type of other service to get around.
If you have a Hilton honors account and the app it's straight forward.
