Every year, during vacation, we make a point of the whole family eating here. Superb food and service. My favorite is the Filet Merchandise de Vin dinner and Seared Sea Scallops appetizer. Excellent!

Best to call them directly. As schdules can be subject to change. id call and book early if possible,as its one of the nicer restaurants on the island surely to fill up.

There is outdoor seating. Ocracoke is very pet friendly but I don't know the Flying Melon's policy.
Pets are not allowed inside. There is a picnic table outside where they will serve you.
Not sure about the hours after Labor Day, but if my memory is correct, Flying Melon is closed on Monday and Tuesday. I know they sell wine, not sure what is on the list.
They only take reservations for 5 or more. Food and service was outstanding! Great chef!
