I love the decent prices at SPCA! The people at SPCA really love animals!!!!🥰🥰🥰

Great place for people and for animals. The staff is passionate about saving animals and finding forever homes. The Norfolk SPCA mostly has dogs and cats, but also guinea pigs, gerbils, and rabbits (occasionally). The shelter also has a barn cat program for more independent cats to be adopted as a mouser. Unlike other shelters, this one also allows visitors to interact with the animals.

The vaccines are $14 for anything injectable. Heartworm tests are $22 the visit is $5 if pet is spayed or neutered and $10 if not. Heartworm medication depends on size of pet and how many you want. Flea medication is $14 a single dose.
They are extremely busy with walk-ins. You can call and press option 0 but I would advise just showing up at the time specified on there phone message
Flea medication prices depends on if it is a cat or dog $14 for dog and $16 for cat
I have a bichon first and it was about $80.00
they can deworm yes but if bloating I recommend seeing a local private veterinarian
Walk-in Clinic Hours of Operation Mon-Thurs 10am-2pm & 2:30pm-6pm Fri–Sat 9am-1pm & 1:30pm-3pm *Last patient accepted 15 minutes prior to closing
Routine vet appointment requests can be made online. Emergency appointments must be made by phone or in person. Visit the Norfolk SPCA website for more information. https://norfolkspca.com/
Go there at 9 o clock there open then
Call them first, before just showing up. There has to be space. Also, you may need an appointment.
It is a good place as far as I know. People go there to see cats all the time
Just call SPCA directly im sure they'll help take care of her.
Have to agree the SPCA just wants more money than they want to help and with vacations and wonder way they don't get the support they need poor animals 😤
$50 to 70
Yes
The SPCA or go to petfind, VB Adoptable pets are just a few websites I used trying to find a female chihuahua. I hope this helps
It depends on whether you're talking about A cat or a dog
Clinic hours have changed as of 9/1/18 they are Mon-Sat 9am-1230pm
They do not carry Nexgard however they can write a script and you would order online
Shots..yes. A rabies inuclulation tag...yes. The license comes from the city.
A no kill like this place would be the best choice.
The vaccination clinic is indeed available tomorrow. However, If your pet needs detailed attention it would be best to call for an appointment time.
They do, however, they are adopted quickly. Same is true for most of the shelters in the area. I have seen small dogs in Virginia Beach SPCA, Norfolk Animal Care and Adoption Center, and the Chesapeake Humane Society. New dogs come and go constantly, so be vigilant in your search.
ESA Registration of America. You will need to answer their question and have at least $150.
Tues-Sat from 9AM-1PM
There is no drop off fee if you are surrendering your animal.
Call the SPCA on little creek they only do it on Saturday now
No you can buy a dog and have it trained
I remember them having various animals/pets other than cats and dogs.
The process could vary some based on several variables. But, I can assure you this, it is well worth the process. It seems to me when you rescue an animal, they are so pleased to get out that environment and show a deeper appreciation & loyalty to you. They also have a great foster program. This facility does so much to help these pets and for the people willing to give these precious animals a fresh start. So please do give money, food, doggy blankets, and your time as a volunteer at the shelter or at fund raising events and/or become a part of the foster care program. You also can have your pets health needs taken care of by their vets. It's cost effective for you and it helps support all the wonderful things that this facility does.🙏🏽💜
We paid 120.00 for a senior dog.
They typically have to evaluate the cat with a preliminary exam before dispensing any medication. If you need to know specifically how to do so, you can contact them via phone.
Nothing that I know of but if your dog is house trained and understands commands I'll take the dog I'm looking for one as a therapeutic pet I have a doctor's note and everything and I live in Norfolk Virginia
Yes
Their prices are very reasonable and the people are amazing I foster and adopt from there. Great people who really care
I pay $60 for all of that's to
You can call or you can walk in from 1 pm to 4:30 pm and talk to someone up front.
Not that I know of
Adoption Fees: Puppy (under 1 yr) $200 Dog (1-6yrs) $150 Dog (7yrs+) $100 Kitten (under 1 yr) $125 *Double the Love and adopt two for the price of one! Cat (1-6yrs) $75 Cat (7yrs+) $50 Rabbit $50 Small Animal $10 – $20 Bird $20+
No they're vaccinations isn't free but they're at a discounted price, it's cheaper than going to a regular veterinarian Dr office
It's still walk in. I adopted a dog there a couple weeks ago.
Depends on multiple factors. I'd expect it to be about $75, although it could vary.
I don't know i adopted a dog in 2018 it was 80
Turn him in so someone else can give him a better home. I'm sure someone would give him the love and attention that he needs. Or keep him to teach responsibility it will pay off in the long run.
You prob can call them and they will tell you, hope this helps
If u want to keep her it is worth her getting her shots to stay in the best health but shop around there could be discount vets or free clinics
M-F 9 to 12 anything else is on their website.
Think they have to be 16 or older because of liabilities
Most likely, just call in advance to make sure they have room. I am not 100% on there policy for strays, but there is a fee for surrendering your pet
I dont think there is a payment plan there prices are 1/3 what a vet would be
Call I don't work there
You can call are go in and look you just might another four legged love good luck
Why don't you call them
No
Around 830
Yes. Prices vary by age (puppies and kitties cost more), but the cost covers administrative fees, spade/neuter, and applicable Healthcare. Sometimes they have events where you can get two family members for the price of one.
Their costs are on their website. https://norfolkspca.com/spay-neuter/
https://norfolkspca.com/adoptable-pets/
I would check out the website on what the SPCA currently has. www.norfolkspca.com
I think you can but call them to make sure. Also ask them to show proper care but you still need to find a good veterinarian.
We just adopted our dog from here and she was around 175 since she was an older dog. Puppies are 250. Make sure you have paperwork that says you can have pets, a valid id and the money
Maybe you should volunteer at the SPCA to see exactly what goes into taking care of a pet
I have no idea, you would have to contact them to find out.
No, you would surrender custody permanently. There are resources if you are in a circumstance where you need temporary foster for your dog.
Tell them you'd like to adopt. I would call first. Then maybe schedule a time to visit and see the dogs available for adoption
I purchased the puppy one, it was not worth getting it.
Hi, the Norfolk SPCA has adoptable bunnies. Check out the following page to see prices and the adoption process: https://norfolkspca.com/adoption-process/
Dont forget to go to norfolkspca.org and get yourself this years magic mutt calander!
Yes. On the NorfolkSPCA website under the vet clinic info you will find pricing for microchipping.
Whre do you live? Portsmouth and Chesepaeke have nice shelters
No they don't. They only groom animals they put out for adoption. They do not have grooming services.
Rabies vaccine is $14 and you have to have a pet exam that cost 5 if you go to the walk in clinic
They go by weight and by sex boys 0-50lbs $85, 51-100lbs $115 females 0-50lbs $90, 51-100lbs$125 plus if you buy pain and seditive to keep them from tearing stitches out and also if you buy the lamp shade collar
Not sure but alot less than a different vet and they are wonderful with your pet.
Last time I checked it was $10.
They are extremely busy. If you leave a message they will call you back. However you can also go there and get immediate service.
Yes take her to the vet... Nowadays with so much going on anything could be wrong with her.. An allergy or bacteria...
Best to call the clinic at Norfolk Aspca directly...hope all is well....
It's been awhile for me, but it was the same day
Attention. When a dog eats it's poop, it generally feels anxiety or neglect.
You should call the SPCA and ask them directly. As you can see, there are conflicting answers on Google. 😔
