I've only taken one class (cycling, instructor was high energy and class wasn't overcrowded) but have been consistently this past week for the treadmill and weights w/o feeling too overwhelmed so I give 5 for being a larger multi level gym (it can get confusing).

I was a member here for over 20 years under different names and owners; Gold's, Pulse, Fitness Connection. For a while it was great. It offered more amenities than any gym around. But a few years back, they started screwing things up. Filled in the jacuzzi first. Next , shut down and took out the steam rooms. Then, decided to close down the pools. Some of us only joined here because they had these to offer. So, I dropped my membership after being there for SO long. It's ridiculous that no gym in Greenville, a city with a university and a medical school and hospital, doesn't have a gym any longer with these amenities to offer. Totally disappointed in the changes made at this once great gym.

Edit: There is a notice at the locker room door stating what time the locker room will be cleaned and informing you it could be a man or woman cleaning. This will avoid the surprise described below. Careful, men may be in the women's locker room and women may be in the men's locker room. As I was changing today, a woman came through the men's locker room to clean. When I asked the manager about this, they informed me that is common. They are expected to put up a sign informing members that the lockers are being cleaned. However, they don't always put those signs in place. The manager also told me this is not just an issue where women clean the men's locker room. There are men that clean the women's locker room. Instead of waiting until they are close, or assign male and female cleaners, they just walk right in. You may want to know this before changing in their locker rooms. Just because the signs say men/women does not mean a man or woman will not be cleaning that locker room while you're changing.

Great place with free classes, plenty of machines, and low intimidation. PT pricing is high. An overall friendly atmosphere.

I would walk in. There is always someone at the desk. Otherwise, you could always go passive aggressive (and cancel that credit card...)
I'm not sure, you can call and ask.
They have closed the pool.
If you go to premier sports in winterville, they have one there
Even when it's packed they have enough equipment for everyone. Sometimes the best time if you don't want any rush is morning or night near closing. There's a mix of people with all kinds goals
