I am an old writer with a book I have been working on for 4 years today I was unable to find the latest revisions. I was a wreck, but I went to University PC Care and I was helped by a wonderful person, again. His name is Trent.. Last time I was on my last nerve, and ready to send my computer to a land fill, Julian saved my life. This business is noted for service and they exceed all expectations. I would advise everyone to get a service contract. 10 stars

Do not bring your Apple products here. They do not honor AppleCare+ policies and try to overcharge. I brought my iPhone in for a screen replacement because it had some deep scratches and I'm trading it in. (See photo) AppleCare+ screen replacements are $29. The technician tried to say I needed to swap out my whole phone and pay $99 because my battery needed to be replaced. AppleCare+ policy replaces batteries for free if they are under 80% capacity. The technician said, "Apple policy is to swap out a phone with more than one issue." This is NOT Apple policy but something unique to University PC so they can make more money. Batteries are replaced FOR FREE with AppleCare+. Additionally, replacing the battery does not necessitate a phone swap unless their technicians are not trained to do so. He tried to say the battery wasn’t covered by AppleCare+ because my phone had "accidental damage" from the SCRATCHES because he could "fit his fingernail under the scratches." I left University PC to travel to an actual Apple Store in Raleigh --where the screen replacement is $29 and the battery replacement is FREE. It’s a shame businesses operate in such a predatory manner. Had I not been so familiar with Apple’s actual policies, I may have been forced into spending much more than necessary. Take the extra time to work with Apple directly because Authorized Service Providers clearly do not follow Apple policies.

Alex helped me set up my new iPhone12 and his work was TERRIFIC! Even though VERIZON employees are not really permitted to download data from an old phone to a new one, they have done it willingly. However, my experience is that Sales People are, and should be concerned about SALES, and should NOT transfer data. ESPECIALLY when a firm like University PC, and individual employees such as ALEX, are available to take care of complete iPhone set up including data transfer. KUDOS to UPC, and no more getting data transferred at the iPhone Point-of-Sale. JEK

Same thing happened with me. They just opened the laptop's cover to see something and closed it back. Didn't change or work on anything. Still charged $60 stating they had searched for some parts etc etc. Unjustified charges!
Give them a call. They can give you an estimate.
No they don't
Take it into shop or call them and connect remotely for them to isolate the problem and remove it.
There are a lot of situations that would cause the computer to not power on. Some as simple as needing a quick button combination to resolve, others involving a logic board replacement- which can get pricey. Without knowing your specific situation, I wouldn't be able to hazard a good guess. Bring it by the shop anytime Monday-Friday 9am to 6pm or Saturday 10 to 2 and we'll be able to check it in and run diagnostics on it to get you a proper answer.
Running two antivirus programs is not recommended as they cause the computer to run sluggishly or they could interfere with each other resulting in unexpected behavior. I would recommend ditching both of them for Webroot Antivirus.

Corde, unfortunately, we do not repair game systems.
I'm sure you could replace the screen. But its a matter of how expensive it woukd be...it may be cheaper just to get a new laptop... depending on the exact model you have. :)
Wesley, if under warranty with Apple and it is a hardware related issue, there is no cost. If it is a software related issue, there would be a charge.
