It was a beautiful stop just wish the place would stay open a little later. Would be great of they allowed you to come in just until after sunset but still a great spot to stop and snag a few pictures while taking in some of the nice views from the beach. There was a few people I think that run the lighthouse that were sitting outside during our visit here.

A very nice lighthouse adjacent to one of the best public parks on the coast of Lake Michigan. Empire is one of my favorite towns on the Lake Michigan coastline. Quaint, sleepy, and friendly are three words that come to mind when I think of this beautiful hamlet. The public beach here is one of the best in Northern michigan, featuring a small but well-kept lighthouse. Worth the stop for any Northern Michigan traveler.

A little disappointed by the lighthouse. It's quite underwhelming. The boat launches leave something to be desired as well. But the views are amazing.

Loved the cute vintage interior and exterior of this place! So perfect. Sandwiches were good but a bit pricey. Latte needed some work--no foam and tasted more like a milky coffee. Overall, recommended!
