ATTENTION SMYRNA, TN/RUTHERFORD COUNTY I’ve never done this type of thing before, but I am now. We purchased a new Lazy Boy recliner. Delivery took 4 months. It was a small, very simple recliner with no frills of any kind. None. The issue has nothing to do with the 4 months that it took to get here. The issue deals with “full disclosure.” Not once were we told there was a no return policy. There’s not one word of it in the paperwork that we signed. They are calling it a special order because we didn’t want clown colors in our living room. So, they called it a special order we because we needed a darker chair, say grey or black. A dark colored chair! Really?! We are now (after the fact) told it can’t be returned or exchanged. We can’t even pay a restocking fee and move on. Thanks to the Lazy Boy store in Smyrna, TN, we have put a match to $1000. If we would’ve known there was a no return policy, we would have never made the purchase. We have never purchased anything that we didn’t have an option of some sort to return or exchange. To all of our friends in the area run as fast as you can from the Smyrna, Lazy Boy store. By the way, if someone would like to take advantage of our misfortune, we have a brand new (sat in one night) Lazy Boy chair we must sell. Sad. Simply sad.

Purchased a lazy boy recliner in January 2022 that would be delivered in 4 or 5 months. Got notified that the chair was at warehouse in May. I picked chair at warehouse and assembled it, did not think it was same chair we ordered and chair was not comfortable. Read paper work and it stated you had 3 days to return chair or swap. When back to store next day and talked with salesman, he said they would make it right but who ever he talked with said the person who could make that decision was not there. They suggested that a tech could come out and see if an adjustment would help make it comfortable. Adjustment helped small amount, finally manager called and I explained what had happened, he suggested another adjustment and said he would not take chair back since it was a special order, chair was not special order, it was a chair that was not in stock and only difference between one on display was I ordered it in leather. Another adjustment was made to chair which did help but still was not very comfortable. Called store again and lady said the manager was on vacation but he would call on Monday when he returned, I did not receive a call from manager, it has been 2 weeks, looks like I am stuck with a chair I don’t think I ordered and don’t like. Cost was over $1700. Very poor communication, very poor response from manager. I have owned many Lazy Boy chairs and have always been satisfied, I guess the lesson I learned was never buy a chair unless you take it home and do not let manager push you around with a bunch of lies. Murfreesboro Lazy Boy is not the place to buy furniture.
