I would say we were very lucky to stay here. Initially we were looking to stay at Big Creek but it was full at the time we arrived. We stayed in the B loop for one night then moved to C loop. This site was incredible. Biking distance to the villages, Lake McDonald is so close we carried our paddle boards there from the campsite. The shore access is just beautiful and watching the clouds and light change on those mountains is something else. Our experience was fantastic as there was minimal people there. The sites are fairly spaced. We couldn't really hear anyone but if you had a loud neighbor, it could be annoying. The restroom and gray water station are walking distance. They had "Community Bear Boxes", we didn't use them but others did. FYI, Glacier is strict on putting away coolers and anything that will attract bears and other wildlife. They will confiscate your stuff if left out and unattended. Unfortunately I left ours out for 15 minutes unsupervised, they came and drove off with them in that time. Absolutely stunning lakes and mountain views. Try to go during the week when it may not be so busy, enjoy the trails and the scenic highway. We did see 2 bear in the park. Crystal clear Glacier water 🤩

Best camp ground in Glacier . Wonderful Camp host

It's a standard NPS campground with the notable addition of free showers. I give it three stars because of two drawbacks with the location: 1) You can get to almost nothing without driving. 2) Some of the loops are much hotter than others (we stayed in A which was 10 degrees hotter than D). It's a fine campground by NPS standards, which is to say occasionally private, but generally pretty crammed in. The ampitheater is lovely and has a projector, which is great for keeping kids engaged. If you want to stay near Apgar but can't get a site there, this is an acceptable substitute. If you're hoping for lots of activities without driving, this isn't the best spot.

I was lucky enough to show up the day Going to the Sun road opened and still was able to get a site for a few nights. Sites have a picnic table and fire pit and the campground has free showers. Easy to walk around and get to Lake MacDonald. Sites are pretty well separated from each other and felt secluded enough. Bathrooms were clean and had flush toilets. No cellular reception, but the visitor center is only a 5 minute drive away with free WiFi and cell signal in the parking lot. The only downside I experienced was my site wasn’t level so sleeping wasn’t very comfortable. Other than that I think this is a great campground.

Yes, but they're in hot contention because there are only 4 of them. Also, when I was there the water was very cold.
Absolutely!
The site I found says no in loop C and yes in A,B, and D
No as mentioned Septwmber 1 is the last day per the website
No water hook up but there are taps you can fill up your tank at
I thought there was potable water next to dump station right by entrance/ranger station. But now dont recall for sure.
Most sites are too small for large RVs and campers. A few will accommodate 30 footers and maybe a couple that can hold larger ones. Even the tent pads are small on most sites, so bring a reasonable sized tent.
According to the booking website fish creek has sites with max length of 24ft for RVs and trailers.
No. There is one by the entrance to Glacier national park however.
