Cool place, but why would do they not offer drinking water to hikers? There are zero water sources from the chalet to the loop. I heard at least four people go up to the window and ask for a refill of their water bottle. The lady told me strait to my face they didn't have running water while the sink in the background was on full blast. Sperry chalet offers water so I'm pretty sure they can figure it out. Other than my complaint regarding the $7 single use plastic water bottles, this place is insanely cool. Make sure to do the grinnel glacier overlook trail!

I'm writing this review to thank Bill, one of the workers at the Chalet. Bill was extremely kind and generous in giving us the full run down of hikes and things to do in the area when we arrived at the Chalet. He spent a good about of time answering all our questions. A couple hours later we passed him on the trail and then ran into a mother grizzly and her baby. Someone from our group snuck away and ran and got Bill, who was walking the other direction. He ran back to the group and provided assistance as the bears came up close to the trail and to the group. Bill got the entire group of 12 by the bears without issue. Can't thank the man enough!

Absolutely incredible experience. We were not successful in getting our reservation when the website went live earlier this year but snagged a cancellation about 3 weeks before our trip. We hiked the Highline Trail to Granite Part Chalet and spent the afternoon reading from our balcony. Coffee hour was one of our favorite parts of the experience, we didn't feel like just guests but as if we had partaken in a family tradition. Bill, Jack, Hannah, and Grace were all so kind and we enjoyed hearing some of their stories. The room was surprisingly clean and the beds were very comfortable. The sunset was absolutely breathtaking. We hiked out via Swiffcurrent Pass to return to Many Glacier Hotel. We will not soon forget our experience at Granite Park Chalet and look forward to returning one day.

Have wanted to get up here for years. Highline Trail was closed so had to hike up the Loop Trail. That 4 mile hike is pretty much a steady incline the whole way, and really knocks you out especially if you have a gear bag for a few nights. BUT the reward is more than worth it. The Chalet is very comfortable. It is rustic with no electricity and running water. Rooms are all 4 to 6 bunks that I saw. We were in the main lodge, balcony level. By far the best views from your doorstep, but the downside is you hear every conversation in the dining area. Quiet time is strictly enforced from 10p to 6a, so that worked fine for us. Hikes in the area abound. We saw marmot, squirrels, golden eagles, white tail and mule deer, black bears and grizzlies from a distance. We did not see goats or big horn sheep but it sounds like they come up later in the season. Myv13yo and 17yo daughters joined us and LOVED it.

Always. If you go here, and are lucky enough to not be eaten by a bear, you will get great pictures of bears eating other people.
Up to six in one room. You are charged per person.
