I was super nervous to do this but realized it was super easy! All the videos are very helpful. This is an awesome product and hope to do more in the future.

I have wanted to try this for a very long time. I ordered my kit and my counter tops. When I had all I needed I was extremely nervous about messing it up. I finally said hell with it I’m doing it today. So glad I took the leap because as they say in the videos there’s no wrong way to do it. I am extremely pleased with the results and I learned the wider the pour the more marble look you receive. I took my tape off the first piece a little too soon so I had a bit of a mess but waited for the other 5 pieces and it was perfect and very easily managed. The only piece of advice is make sure the back of your counter tops are sealed or it will be running down behind your cabinets. I can not wait to do this to my bathroom shower walls. Absolutely recommend this to anyone who wants a very attractive counter to brag about. Just DO IT. WORTH THE RESULTS

Easy to follow instructions! Countertops looks like glass. They turned out exactly as they said it would. Pro-tip, we used baby powder on the floor where the epoxy had dropped on the plastic so our feet did not stick to the plastic. We will be using them again for other projects!

Great question! You can purchase all of our materials from our product page at https://www.stonecoatcountertops.com/stone-coat-product or you can call (541) 450-1976 and we can process your order over the phone. Stone Coat Countertop Epoxy will cover 40 square feet using our 2-gallon kit, which is $190. A 1-gallon kit will cover 20 square feet and is $95, and our ½-gallon kit will cover 10-12 square feet and is $50. We are excited that we have this new format to be able to answer questions for you! Thank you for your question and have a wonderful day!
I don't believe so, but you can get less expensive kits to practice with from places like home Depot, Lowe's and such. They have less working time and don't torch as well on average but they will definitely give you some practice. Try making a few sample boards, small, that you can easily manage and play around! It's really fun, and when you think you got it, go ahead and order the stone coat. It really is a fun product and torches very well. I would add that you use a torch that is regulated so that you can use it facing down without any issues of torch failure. I hope this helped

This man has resin for everything you need coasters, counter tops, floors, art projects, crafts, vertical walls. I use stone Coat on crafts, artwork, coffee tables, counter tops, floor's and you know what? For me it's just the best👍👍👍👍
The primary difference is that art coat is much more UV resistant. If you have an existing waterfall section in your countertops you want to coat, then you'll want to use our thickener so that the countertop epoxy doesn't run down the vertical surface. However, if you're building a waterfall section then you can coat it horizontally and then install it vertically once it's all finished. Go ahead and call in for more detailed instructions of you wish.
Watch a bunch of the videos. They are a great place to learn about the products and you will get many great ideas
Its easiest to just call in. They will guide you through you project, give you an idea of how much material you will need and which epoxy "they have multiple product options." They are super helpful and knowledgeable. Call the number on the website my friend. You wont regret it. There's a huge difference in product quality over others I have used. Good luck. :)
You would want this to be at min 65deg and it works well between 70 to 75deg. If it is to cold it seems it takes forever to solidify and does not come out as clear
Great news, Stephen! With just a few steps to prepare your current surface, your countertops will be Stone Coat Countertop ready. Give us a call and we will happily go into more detail with you. 541-450-1976
Go down to the store on Ringquette where Cary's use to be. Great people and very helpful.
3.5 gallons
I have not personally tested the epoxy with high heat exposure but from what the company advertises and reviews I've heard, this epoxy can withstand high temps.
Just have to watch their videos. I shop on their website... I dont live in California
It is an epoxy resin and is NOT a polishing compound. Now if your granite is scratched up and you're tired of it and you do not want to get rid of it. Stone Coat epoxy will put a new surface on it and will make it look like new. I did it to my concrete basement floor and the design is outstanding.
If you are asking about rounding the top and bottom edges of the countertop, use a 1/8" bit for the bottom and 1/4" bit for the top. If you are doing a 3/4" thick piece then you probably will want to use the 1/8" bit for both. Always at least radius the top of whatever you are coating. It lets the resin flow much better over the edge.
Yes. The 3 seal coat will not lay out flat enough. With the flood coat you are putting 3 times the amount of resin as in 1 seal coat. The flood coat will self level itself for a smooth finish.
After you epoxy dries sand w high quality sand disks of 200 then 400, 500 then 1000, 2000 and 3000 all wet. Dont do the mcguire cut and u will achieve a matt finish on whatever u created. It doesnt have the bling of the high shine but has a much better look for high traffic finger prints and smudges with less maintenence.
They have a video and product on their site, to sand and buff it out.
I know they have videos on veneer, pretty sure. I think that is what you want.
Ms Dean, give us a call as soon as you can to talk about fixing up your countertop. 541-450-1976. We can help you out.
You will need to address the seam first. Peel up any loose laminate, then use all purpose Bondo to fill the seam and the void left after removing the lose laminate. Once dried sand flat, then apply bonding primer and you're ready for the epoxy.
