Nice and short tour into the history of the area.

This place is amazing. A great piece of history and worth the hike and tour.

What an awesome place with an extraordinary story behind it! Definitely worth the tour and donated a little more for the cause. Loved it!

Beautiful location and fascinating building. Arrive early to get a parking spot - it fills up fast.

At the top of the hike down to Vikingsholm, you can sit and wait at the scenic view area that has walls and limited benches to sit on (at the beginning of the hike path).
Sounds like a cool visit
Self guided tour right now. A long way up and down walking.
You have to park above and walk down. I did hear one of the park rangers telling someone if they are handicap, they can schedule a ride down, but you must do it a few days in advance they take you down on their golf cart.
Nope, you can walk around most of the outside but not the courtyard.
There are camping grounds and hotels all close by
$10 for adults plus parking but it's cash only. I'd suggest go with reservations in this season. It's pretty packed on weekends and you might end up waiting
I don't think there are any parking charges. There is some fee, guess$10-$12, to check the home from inside but you can go and check out the place without any charges from the outside.
Going down is easy, coming back up is bit difficult. It is all downhill from the top of mountain /parking lot/ vista point to the lake shore. The trail is basically a wide paved road, which was closed to vehicular traffic when we visited. There are several other dirt trails along the perimeter of lake/hills/creek etc, once you reach the bottom.
The snow is already melting, maybe you will found just few spots left
Your best bet is to Google Map it from the casino you are at. A Maps search of Vikingsholm will bring it up and then you can use your current location. It will show you the route.
I don't know for sure, but I don't see why you wouldn't be able to.
