Apparently they do since there were a lot of people walking around with their dogs and there were not any visible signs of pets being prohibited. There are a lot of squirrels, ducks and birds walking around together all around Sand Harbor as well. I believe you should definitely be fine with taking your pet dog.
I've often said this in to put it simply if the world was ending this is where I'd want to be.
On the weekend it’s full. No doubt. If you start early in the morning like 8/9 then you will find some spot and enjoy the view.
When the park opens there is a mad rush for the good beach spots. Beach A or Lot A is less crowded - head there. It is further away from the concession stand. Another good option for Sand Harbor is to go in the afternoon for a late afternoon sundown type visit. Around 230 - 300 pm. the early birds start leaving. You can usually get a parking spot again after 3pm.
Keep your mask with you and wear them in public places
Kayaks can launch there.
It's not far at all, the parking lot is against the beach, I'd say 100 meters is a worst case distance, depending on how close of a spot you find, they do also have handicap parking
Sand harbor only has limited parking available. Once the lot fills up they shut down parking at the park until about 3 pm. You can use the east shore express to get in. Park in incline village and take the bus over to the park.
Actually if you read park rules and regulations your not suppose to take anything from the park.
There is very little beach now the water is Cold 😨 but tolerable. Later in June July August there will be more Beach space and the water will be warm enough to swim in comfortable. A very beautiful place.👍
No pets allowed, Kiva Beach allows pets on a leash only. It's a free beach.
Anywhere at sand harbor is great, theres water surrounding the beach that is sort of warm in the summer
Yes,you self inspect, needs AIS decal and life jackets.
You can't camp on the beach here and I don't remember seeing any camping next to the beach while here.
The color of the sand is very beautiful and texture is different..The gold in the water are big rocks..
a
Just go to the address before you see rental Kayak go to the left you will see rocks 🪨 or you want bigger rocks go pass the kayak rental all the way to the end
It is a state park so check with the state or washoe county.
Rv resort in South Lake tahoe about 20 min away

Yes, $10 per car
Yes they do
Last time I went was closed due to full capacity. The capacity probably was reduced because the COVID.
I would have to say yes just to be safe
There were signs up around saying no glass and bbq at the beach unfortunately, and the areas for tables and chairs are currently closed.
You're on google maps y not look it up urself
It definitely should be
You possibly could get a spot because some people that came early will have left - you can only spend so much time at the beach. 5pm is later in the day.
Try just putting in Sand Harbor, Lake Tahoe, NV 89452. Or 2005 Highway 28, Incline Village, NV. 89452. I think NV-28 is not a correct address format so GPS can't find it. Sand Harbor is on Highway 28, east shore of Lake Tahoe, Nevada side.
You probably could, but people go there to get away from everything and spend time together with their families. Having BBQs, and just relaxing. Leave it as that. This is no way meant to be disrespectful. I'm sure there are many other areas you would be able to campaign.
Most likely since they were open the July 4th weekend.
Was there a week ago and they only allow 50% capacity then shut it down till 5pm when people can come back in. It may be full by 9 or 10 in the morning. You are not allowed to walk out onto the east trail and reenter the area.
They have a ramada & picnic area you can rent for private groups. See the ranger in the office or check Nevada State Parks online.
Yes, 60 dollars for like 4 hours. All-day use has the best price but I don't recall the price. Enjoy!
Not on the beach tho. Only at the picnic area. Then itll b a short distance walk to the beach area.
There are different parking lots, but it look me a good 5 minutes to reach the beach.
In the summer, the lot can fill up by 8:30-9:00, and then you are just hoping for people to leave until late afternoon.
Yes
Unfortunately dogs are only permitted during the cool months, October 15th-April 15.
Well that depends. Your "poppy" may not grow well in the sand. Your "pappy" would probably love to spend time with you. But your "puppy" unfortunately is not allowed.
Yes and they close at 8 p.m. You can easily google this information
Yes, there are public restrooms available but I don't think they hv showers.
There used to be one on the South Beach Sand Harbor can ask the lifeguards I think it's in the Lifeguard hut
Rudeness can be found everywhere. Sand Harbor, highways, airports, restaurants, etc. Lack of parental care. We have been working the Shakespeare event and have found great patrons there.
I don't think you can park an RV in the regular lot. You should call and ask if you can park in the boat launch lot. I saw an RV parked off the side of the road a bit south of the parking lot when I went.
$10 with In and Out privileges, $2 per Bike. Cannot drop off or pickup without paying. No walkins expect if you take the shuttle, which has a couple stops in Incline, which should come every 20 minutes or so.
I have seen a proper grilling station with wooden benches inside near the momento gift shop. But not seen anyone using that facility
And they will closed the park through out the day if they get full
Sorry no. Sugar Pine campgrounds just go on line... Hwy 89 side.. California
Level drive...It's a park. You pay to park and then walk to the water. They have walking trails as well.
