Loved the guidance given by rangers for hikes and the area in general. You need to wear the mask for getting inside the building, which is clearly mentioned on the NPS site as well as the doors of the building. This place has some good books by John Muir, some cool souvenirs too.

No, you don't. But the visitor center is full of information and has a little museum of sorts inside and a room where you can see a video/ movie about areas there in Sequoia. We found it very informative, even the little ones got a lot of information from it. You won't regret stopping in. Plus there is the general store/ market a post office, restrooms etc.. I'd recommend you stopping in.. enjoy the trip.
Went Saturday fully ready to play in snow. Unfortunately most of it was melted. We made a long 5 hour drive, looked at the trees and left. There was a few places to play in little amounts of snow but it was crowded with people with no masks. Not taking the chance with my 5 children. I imagine there is less snow now.
Yes.
At grant grove.. At hume lake they have another store and visitor center
Most the snow is melted up to grant Grove higher elevations like above 6500 feet have snow. But with warm days it's melting fast. My knowledge none if these storms brought snow below 6000 feet
Ticket is also good for multiple days as well as to Sequioa NP.
