I wanted to post about my experience at Mountain Pets and was confused when I saw some of the other reviews because I had such a different experience. I moved to the Murphy area earlier this year and my fish died within a couple of weeks. Assuming it was related to the move, I purchased some from this store, but the same thing happened shortly after. The nice folks explained there might be something wrong with my well water, and after testing it (for free) that turned out to be the case. They offer products to balance the PH and the new school has been healthy for months now. Thank you guys and keep up the good work.

Three weeks ago I bought a beta fish from this establishment with all the prime drops etc. needed for the fish. The fish died after three days, I went back got another beta and the young lady told me next time if Something Happens bringing a sample of your water. Well 10 days later the fish died and I brought in a sample of my water. Mind you, I consider myself an expert on beta fish since the last two that I had one lasted six years and one lasted 4 years. The man today told me there’s something wrong with your water. I explained that I have well water which is why I bought one of the prime drops that you all sell . Long story short poor customer service - would not give me another $6.99 fish- not even at half price. Total spend food, prime drops, two fish $38.00 - 🐠🐠🐠🐠 in response to your response you clearly told me you would not give me another fish even if I got the bottled water I will not be back to your establishment. You were borderline rude, even when I told you I bought the fish from the little baggies that you had in a box you told me those were new fish, when I bought them the young lady told me that they are in those bags for 24 hours and I should not use that water which I not - Have a blessed day

The house that we moved into in Hayesville a few years ago had a neglected fish pond. A giant carcass of yellow iris roots was floating around on top like a dead animal. There were no fish (thank goodness). The pump, filter & lights all had to be replaced, along with getting the muck & leaves out of the murky water. We worked & worked and managed to get the pond looking like a pond again. We bought fish and water plants from Murphy Pets & Water Gardens. Everyone at the store was very helpful with advice on goldfish. We bought 7 goldfish and now have 12. They seem very content and come over to me when it’s feeding time. If we need water plants or fish supplies, there is only one place to go: Murphy Pets & Water Gardens.
