LOVED this campground! Sites are concrete, level, pull through and not on top of each other. Gary was very nice and very helpful as was everyone we met in the park. Although others mentioned there are permanent residents there, I find that most campgrounds have people that live there on a full time basis. It was nice to be able to walk our dogs down by the river. Location is good and close to restaurants, shopping and Harrah's Valley River Casino. The ONLY reason I did not give 5 stars was the water. I would not drink the water as it was quite smelly. Even bathing left a slight odor. A water filter system in this park would make it perfect! As we like the Murphy area, I would stay at this park again in a heartbeat...and maybe try to talk Gary in to a water filter system! June 2022. We once again stayed a week at Rivers Edge and I still stand by my original post. This is a very well kept campground with big, spacious sites and friendly people. They don't have a pool or mini golf, but they have great cable TV and wifi signal!! We're very happy camping here, but again, the water has not changed. The permanent campers all seem to have elaborate water filter systems; not sure if that works for this water. We only have the inline filter you put on your water hose which is definitely not sufficient. For everything else, this campground really delivers, I really try to overlook the water issue!

We returned to this park after about 8 years of other adventures. We enjoyed it very much. It was a quiet reprieve from a busy travel schedule. The concrete spaces have generous separation and will accommodate the longest rigs. This is a park we will return to whenever we have the opportunity. FYI, if your unfamiliar with the area the water is high in Iron. Be ready to treat your water with Iron Out. Also, the longer rigs need to be aware of the entrance to hwy 74 when leaving.....can be a little dicey.

River's Edge was our first campground stay with our new travel trailer and Dave, one of the managers, was kind enough to stay with us to make sure we had everything hooked up properly and offered some very useful tips we tucked away for later. The owners, Gary and Denise, have a beautifully maintained facility with all pull-through and full-hookup sites with cement pads and paved roads. Their family atmosphere made us feel right at home away from home. We will definitely keep this campground on our radar for a future visit.

Rivers Edge is fabulous. Clean. VERY well maintained. Great location and large lots (great for ‘big rigs’). Quiet. And Gary is terrific.

Murphy boasts the Appalachian Mountains and all the beauty they offer. What's the elevation of Murphy NC itself? Downtown Murphy is at one of the lowest elevations in the county at 1,600 feet.
