I didn't want to spend money on movers so I moved by renting a truck. It was a ton of work, insanely stressful and after everything was said and done, I ended up spending way more than I planned. Did that a second time, same results. For the third time, I decided to use a moving company, but booked the cheapest possible. Turns out I had a lot more stuff than I thought and can you guess what happened? I ended up spending way more than I planned, and had to do a good amount of moving myself. I finally learned my lesson and the next time I had to move, I was going to use professional movers no matter what and went with General Moving Carriers who came highly recommended from a friend. As advertised, I had the best moving experience of my life, no joke. Pros through and through from the office staff to the moving crew. Dealt with all the annoying NYC building rules, punctual, fast, everything got to where it needed to go, damage free and no change in the quoted price. Basically, a super smooth move. I regret not using them from the beginning. I know now that moving can be stress and hassle free if you use real professional movers like these guys. Thanks GenMove!

I moved from Philadelphia to North Carolina. I was told upfront that it would take up to ten business days, okay my belongings came not eh 7th business day. Fine, granted, ( I was crying tears). I worked hard to save money and emptied out majority of my savings and had to pay an extra $1000. Some of my belongings were outside of the truck strapped on the back ( with that being said, my couch was wet and dripping water/ as if it was out in the rain. My glass dresser/ broke, my fire placed water damaged, chipped in so many areas. Missing a glass nightstand. A box full of wet clothes. My brand new Raymour and Flanigan table, done! water damage/ lifting/ wood splitting. There is no Raymour and Flanagan in NC. My brand new table. There was no regards for my furniture. It was treated like trash. I can't stop crying because I paid for quality and feel like I was taken advantage of and all the driver said was put in a claim. I trusted this company to deliver my items the same way I gave it to them. This is not how you do business, take a customer's money and not deliver quality.. Not right! I am in so disbelief how I was brushed off and blamed because I asked for a box truck and it was my fault my stuff got damaged. There are no more words, but GOD please take this anger away and return some type of compensation through my claim for my damaged items.
