Very nice modern apartment complex, new construction, everything clean and well maintained. Well designed interior, quality appliances, also great facilities including gym, lounge and courtyard grill. Very prompt and and super nice nice communication with management made move-in easy very easy and pleasant. Unfortunately, significantly less pleasant was communication around moving out, during the process staff become non-cooperative, coming up with bogus charges, and what ultimately ruined my experience was that they didn't give me back my deposit.

I relocated back to Jersey in June and now that I've lived at the Avalon for some time, I can provide a proper review. My prior apartment called, "The Palatine", owned by Bozzuto, another luxurious real estate property was so much better & here's why. For the price you're paying here, there are areas that needs major improvements. The mail room is beyond unorganized and though it's not this property's fault, I do wish they had a better system a deliver service that bring your packages to your door for a flat fee. I had this feature at the Palatine & it was such a blessing. I think for a luxurious property I guess I expected a little more organization. I will say that their gym and outdoor patio area are my favorite parts of this property. The gym is really nice, always clean, and it's 24 hours. I love how I can go whenever I want and can always get a great workout in. They have a pool table and a nice workspace area that comes in handy if you happened to have company or work from home. They have multiple outdoor patio areas with grills, a fireplace, & loads of seating. The garage itself does need work to be honest with you. At the Palatine, every apartment had designated spots for the same amount fee I'm paying here. At night, it can be a hassle to find a spot. Also, residents are always parking in the guest spots which can be frustrating when you have visitors. Another perk about this property is their rooftop, it doesn't have the best views but a great feature to have. The location itself isn't the best as it can get very loud from traffic and the Wawa across the street. If noise isn't an issue for you, rent here but if not, there are other properties that are much better in the area. Now as far as my apartment, it is a bit overpriced for 1/2 the space. It does come equipped with central air, washer and dryer, & dishwasher. I will mention that I had placed a few requests from my tub and sink being clogged which they fixed eventually. However, it's almost a month since my washer has been broken and it's beyond frustrating. I just sent another email asking for an eta on repairs and doubt I'll receive an answer. I don't recommend living here one bit as there are better luxurious apartments in nearby towns.

We had a great time being the tenants of Avalon Maplewood in the past 4 years. We always felt there is someone at the leasing office to reason with about rent increase. Amenities and maintenance were kept in very high standards. Special thank you to Gregory Shiff who made us feel at home and Charles the head of maintenance who was at our door within minutes after placing a ticket.
