Will be finding a new dispensary to go to. I was sold a defective cartridge. When I bought it I was not informed I have to keep my receipt (which I was never given) and original packaging. If I had known that I would’ve made sure to keep it. I was also not informed of their 7 day policy for returns of defective products. It’s been 3 months since I bought the product and it is just now showing it’s defects. Although I don’t agree with the policy it is what it is. What I did not appreciate was the lack of customer service and extremely rude demeanor of the staff. This business has not properly trained their staff to be accommodating to their customers. The employee I first spoke to was ready to tell me we can’t do anything and let me walk out the door with absolutely no solution or suggestion. Whether that be a new cartridge or other product that may work for me. The manager was willing to explain more to me and offer me a discounted cartridge which I appreciate. Employees need better training with interacting with the public.

My favorite dispensary in NJ by far. Staff is truly unmatched, they know me by name and truly make you feel like a friend when you walk in the door. Other dispensaries may have a better sale, or a different option, but I refuse to go anywhere else because the experience and customer service is legitimately next level. Also I have tried other dispensaries in the past, and always found the product had a very grass or hay like smell/taste, but I have not once had that issue with any of the products at this dispo, their own brand or otherwise. Even the day adult use sales began, my service was superb, and medical patients were not affected at all, we were in and out, with our parking and product accessibility intact. I am so excited to see how Apothecarium Maplewood expands within the next couple years as the industry grows in the state. *Update* I feel like I need to update my review because instead of having prices going down for medical patients, they are going up. I used to go to this dispensary every single week, and everyone was so friendly. I think with legalization of adult use they hired too many untrained staff. I’ve had issues with my items not being labeled with my medical stickers, and waited in long lines because they often just don’t open the medical side. If you are extremely lucky you’ll get one of the original staff, and be fine, but if you get someone who started after 4/21 they are likely not even trained to process medical orders. Hope to see improvements soon.

I honestly thought hard about not giving this place a one star, however having visited enough times, I don’t like how EVERY budtender lies about products. They don’t know anything about what they are selling. Having budtender experience myself I love to hear their responses when I ask questions about strains I already know. They have said a strain was a hybrid however it was a straight indica. You ask what is the thc % and they always always have an attitude. Man I was asked that daily and I never had a problem cause it was my JOB. Lazy employees. The last person that helped me said Ozone and Veranno is the best in the industry. Maybe in this state but tell that to someone who knows brands. Both brands are mid grade at its finest. Wish this place would train employees and provide product information for its customers. Heck the menu is never updated. I used to update iheartjane, Weedmaps, leafly and our stores website hourly, along with thc levels. Step up your game cause there are new dispensaries coming.

been buying their stuff since opening. good quality, worth the price but only slightly for the convenience factor. from what i hear the lines can get pretty OD at other dispos in NJ but never had a long wait here. 1 star off for price point and sass i got on a recent visit. if you’re tired, get some sleep but don’t take it out on the customer if i need to take time to decide on a strain. seriously?
