Reserved a 185cfm compressor for a day rental to do sprinkler blow outs. Went to pick up at the SLC location and they only had a 92cfm. Said there was a miscommunication, however I made the reservation via the text option and it was clearly stated a 185. Since I do some commercial properties a 92cfm wasn’t large enough. He was able to find a 185 for me at the new WVC location. I rearranged my schedule with the clients and went to pick this one up but when I arrived they charged me over $60 more than I was originally told. I told the guy I didn’t agree with that on top of my hour of time lost for their mistake and extra fuel they had cost me to pick it up and drop it off the next morning at a location further away from my job sites but he wouldn’t do anything about it. Hooking up to my truck went well but when I asked him what pressure the machine was at he couldn’t tell because the gauge was fogged over. When I got to the first site the compressor was set to over 100psi which is way too high for my purpose. I called to ask how to adjust it as it wasn’t obvious. I was told it couldn’t be adjusted and to just not open the valve all the way. I explained that this does not affect the pressure out put and only the volume. In between stations it would still charge the system to over 100psi and cause damage to the sprinkler system components if used this way. It forced me to do my job the hard way by manually turning zones on and off to ensure there was always a zone on so the pressure didn’t build up. Again it cost me more time and made my last jobs go well into the evening. The unit itself was in good running order and didn’t have any problems in that regard. I have had good experiences with Diamond in the past and left a positive review for them last year through their text survey they had sent me. I’m disappointed this time wasn’t the same and they were unwilling to make it right even for a repeat customer.
