I did not have a good experience for MRI with contrast. The actual test isn't pleasant to begin with and the staff that worked with me only made it more unpleasant. In my opinion they were insensitive and I didn't feel like I was a person. They continued to try to get access for the contrast without success. I left with 6 bruises all over my arms and hands. They kept asking, "do you want us to stop?" I believe they did this because they wanted to be able to say, "the patient refused." Also I spent more than 20 minutes at check in and some how the staff only listed one of my insurances. Now, I have to call the office.

I was at the Stratford CT office and one of the assistant 'Karens' came out and was rude to a customer in the lobby. When I called her out for her rudeness she tattled on me to someone who said they were the owner. He then came out and harassed me using his perceived power to threaten me to not grant me service. Some of the other customers in the lobby said they felt this place was not nice and would not come back again.

The staff is professional and efficient while still being kind, they stay on schedule (I've been 3 times and each time I was in and out in less than 30 minutes). Highly recommended.

I am writing this review because today I had a second experience that confirmed my first impression. I had to reschedule an appointment that frankly I missed because I forgot. The representative of Advanced Radiology, Kora Jones, could not have been more reassuring, warm, or professional. Having had the same experience as most with an increasingly distant and automated experience with the medical world, I found Ms. Jones to be many breaths of fresh air. This world could use more like her.

We have wide bore MRIs at most of our locations (not Stratford though), which patients find very comfortable. A non contrast MRI of the lumbar spine is 30 minutes long. Please call us at 203-337-9729 to schedule an appointment. We perform MRIs Monday-Saturday. Thank you for choosing Advanced Radiology.
Yes, a coil is necessary and the majority of patients can do the exam without an issue. Our highly skilled technologists are excellent at ensuring patients are comfortable during their exam.
I don't know they get them from my Primary Care Doctor
Yes, most exams require a doctor's prescription be sent to us. We will then call you to schedule an appointment. X-rays are available without an appointment, but you may have to wait until a technologist is available.
Don't think so. It's usually further upstate ct.
