Great spot to stop for lunch, or camp overnight. Directly off Hwy 20/22. Easy accessible picnic tables and restrooms. Lots of water during the wet season, mostly dry during the summer, and the small stream flows right into a hole in the ground and disappears. Interesting geological feature. Lots of blown down trees, but camp and picnic spots are still open. Much cleaner with no trash on this visit, I was glad to see folks are taking care of this neat spot.

Close to the road. If you come here clean up after yourself so that other people done need to do it for you. Getting out here is harder than cleaning up after yourself. Leave no trace.

Nice little place to stop off the highway for a bite and to stretch your feet. The lava tube is small in the summer but if you don't expect much you'll enjoy it. I camped here and encountered tons of mosquitos in August, I got bombarded and wore a hoodie and pants the rest of the first night. The day was better. The campsites are big and the tables and fire pits are nice, there's plenty of toilets as well. You will hear the highway all day and it didn't quiet down until midnightish. The mornings were nice at 7am with the fog across the marsh.

Visit this place often. Very beautiful. It's always changing. There used to be only one hole and now I've heard there is 3 but I've only been able to find two. Very quite undisturbed place. If you visit, please tread lightly and watch for baby frogs and leave no trace.
