Came to this dog park with my two dogs on the way home from kc. It was very easy to find and a really nice dog park with a walking trail on the inside for the humans. Wish there was a big dog park like this in warrensburg.

Great Dog Park! Even has a little splash pad you can activate on hot summer days. One of two dog parks in Lee's Summit. What I like about Dogwood is you can see your dog from anywhere in the park. Tired of walking laps sit on a bench and you can see your dog no matter where it goes in the park. The only thing the other dog park doesn't have since it's a horseshoe shape. It's also (for now) less busy than Happy Tails dog park which was ideal for us with a new puppy that was overwhelmed around so many other dogs.

Nice dog park. Bring your own water for your pups. Not sure when they will turn the water back on. Note, it's very muddy after a rain.

My pup loves Dogwood Park. It’s set up with a gated area for larger dogs and a separate gated section for smaller dogs. In the larger area, there are 2 water stations, including 1 that has a fountain that shoots up in the air to cool off the dogs. There’s plenty of lawn for the dogs to run and sniff a few butts, and there’s a small shaded creek for them to investigate. For the more adventurous dogs, there’s also a play area where they can run over ramps and through a giant tunnel. For the humans, there’s a nice circular walkway with park benches where you can sit and rest.

Avoid the area for smaller dogs; that fence is shorter. 6 ft sounds right on the larger dogs side. Like Kaylea, I never saw a dog jump that taller fence. Also, in the little front area where people leash and unleash, the lock latch is sometimes broken. So, to avoid escapes, you should wait until you are actually inside the large park before letting your dog off-leash.
There is a very clean and very well maintained, Very large ADA complient Porta-potty. It is private as it has a Very considerate wooden privacy fence around it. It, as is all the rest of the park, well thought out and maintained. LS parks and recs deserve praise for our dog parks. Great job!
There is a restroom. It's more like a Johnny On the Spot.
Yes, it is open.
Yes, it is open year round. For obvious reasons, the water features are off in the colder months.
I actually used my measuring wheel on the asphalt walkway shortly after the park opened. The web site is right, .3 miles. I would like to warn you that some dogs love to chase a runner, but if you're a jogger you already know this.
Yes but lots of large dogs. The other park divides large and small
