Last year I relocated from PHL to CLT only to discover a challenging housing market. In May, 2022 one of my friends, a Castlewood resident, offered his spare room until I could find something on my own. Sadly, he passed away unexpectedly. Although I have no place to go, the rental office was both unprofessional and unsympathetic in two ways: Effective immediately, I was instructed to vacate the unit considering I was not listed on the lease. Second, no greater than two hours after the tenant's demise, management changed the lock to the unit. As I type this review, I remain locked inside the apartment with no key. Having consulted an attorney regarding my legal rights, the management office must go through legal and proper channels for my eviction, which includes a thirty day eviction notice in writing. I have yet to receive such notice. Regarding the locks, I wish they had not demonstrated such impatience but it's already done so the conversation becomes spilled milk. Yes, I asked for a copy of the new key but because I was not on the lease I cannot obtain a copy of the new key. Should I become locked out of the apartment, the only way to regain entry is to sue! Thank God for DoorDash! My advice: Don't rent here, folks! Too much insensitivity, and too much red tape, during this time of loss.

A new couple that moved into the 800 building are loud, I always hear the mother yell at her 3 year old and brag about how she took her from her real father and that he has no clue where his own daughter is....

Thin Walls. Living on the 2nd to bottom floor is kinda the worst. Noisy upstair neighborhoods. And children screaming. You can hear everything. Unfortunately, no matter how many times we filed a complaint the issue never gets solved.

Very poor management. Management is non existent. They don’t care about nothing unless you moving in and making payments. Once you in they have nothing to do with you. If you terminate your lease they’ll tell you there trying to sell your apt but will wait till your contract over so they can collect full lease payment even though keys were turned in and didn’t have access to the apartment for months but the made me still pay and didn’t try to sell the apartment. Even during a pandemic they will financially drain you out of every penny NO MATTER WHAT.
