TRIBECA ITALIAN STAPLE DELIVERS CONSISTENTLY - if you’re looking for a gorgeous aesthetic, superbly executed Italian food and attentive staff you can’t go wrong with this award winning location in the Greenwich Hotel, you never know, you might even see Robert DeNiro here given he’s an investor! AMBIENCE - We visited for a midweek lunch, there was def a ‘business vibe’ going on, but the decor is great, intimate in places, with a lively bar and great hand crafted cocktails. Place has been open for over 10 years, yet still feels fresh. FOOD - Chef Andrew Carmellini delivers an ‘urban style’ Italian menu here that is gorgeous. Breads are incredible, Burrata was so fresh and on point, ravioli perfect… you get the point right? Just great Italian food! DRINKS - silly point, but I love a restaurant that puts a beverage in my hand quickly, as well as water, so a big plus for me here! wine list is well thought out, and for those who check pricing (like me!!) it’s actually very reasonable with some excellent choices to be found on their curated list (another bonus point for me, I hate being given a telephone directory of a wine list!) SUMMARY - Locanda Verde has been around for a while and for good reason, would I recommend it to my best friend? 100% .. would I recommend it as a place for a date … 100%, is this the hippest place in New York? 100% NO!! But I quite like that honestly!

Excellent service!

Grandmother's ravioli was not cooked properly, blan in flavor and the sauce was acidic. I informed the manager. He acted nice yet sophmorish and offered no empathy for the larceny of charging $35.00 for 6 ravioli. Charming ambiance.

Everything was incredible. The vibe, the food, the service -- Definitely 5 star worthy. We tried quite a bit of the food. The steak tartare was so flavorful. The lamb sliders were extremely tender and tasted so good. We all got pasta dishes: the goat cheese agnolotti, the jersey corn pansotti, the orecchiette, and the mezzi rigatoni. The agnolotti and pansotti were a bit small, but very very tasty. The orecchiette and rigatoni were some of the best pasta dishes I've ever had. Absolutely phenomenal! The service was also superb. Our waiter knew his stuff! He was able to describe the dishes perfectly and recommend wines he thought we would like with our dinners (which we loved). I would argue that Locanda Verde is MUCH better than other 'mainstream' Italian restaurants in the city (i.e., Carbone). Definitely recommend and definitely will be back!

There is a cool cocktail lounge/library called Brandy Library or Distilled both a few blocks away.
For a light rain yes...wouldn't recommend to be there in a medium wiper setting rain
Yep noisy, possibly the hotel
Lively. One can have a conversation without feeling the need to shout, but there will be noise around
No, there is not free parking and the immediate area is figuratively shark-infested with city tow trucks. Please be very careful.
It's helpful to have one. There might be a bit of a wait but you could always sit at the bar and wait.
