While mos of the staff was pleasant to deal with we were very disappointed with our overall experience. We sent there on a Saturday for a sonogram after our vet found a lump on our cats kidney. Instead of informing us that no techs work on weekends, they went ahead and had us wait and pay for an exam, THEN told us we would have to come back Monday. That experience was even less pleasant. We attempted to address all our issues with the office manager. Never heard from anyone. I guess you got our money, so we are done with Carolina vet specialists, we'll never go back

Wonderful staff who were there when we needed them most. Thank you to everyone at Carolina Veterinary Specialists for taking care of our girls!

This is place is terrible. My dog was taken for a broken leg. The surgeon did unnecessary tests that ended up costing nearly 3,000. They were rude and are only interested in getting paid they do not care about your animal. The surgeon lied and said my mothers dog needed unnecessary procedures done that he never needed. After taking him to a reputable surgeon we were told very different. They take advantage of your pet and your love for them, and charge you for unnecessary tests and procedures that your pet does not need!!

Very overpriced they seem to take advantage of your vunable state when it comes to the emergency of your pet. And of course money upfront would not go there again

To be honest, my advice would be to get a second opinion with another vet. The actual veterinarian herself was rude to my husband and I. Making us feel inadequate when we didn't want to spend $500 for tests when my pup literally just needed hydration and anti nausea meds. We think she gave him way too much pain medication. Can't even explain how much it scared us. He couldn't even stand up. His mouth hung open, he stared into space and had no response what so ever to us saying his name, no blinking, no nothing. He began breathing strangely and we called them and they said he will act drunk. This was much more than that. My husband and I were literally up all night watching him breathe. The rest of the staff was very pleasant. Google asked me to write a review so I did. I wasn't mean I was honest. I never write bad reviews. The facility replied publicly saying it concerned then and to contact them, we did, got no reply. Just being honest with you. I'm sorry your pup needs surgery. 😟

Can anyone give me an idea on what costs here would be? Office visit then treatment. Our cat has a large mass between spleen and stomach and is in the connective tissue to the stomach.

$6k minimum if Nanfelt operates. Cortes is more reasonable and a super human being!!! Check with Animal Medical Hospital and CARE if you want a board certified surgeon at a better price with better post op care. I've been a vet in Charlotte since 2012 and wouldn't take my pets here unless I was paid $1+ million dollars!!
