Unfortunately we had to meet the staff of Pressly Animal Hospital under unfavorable circumstances. A new puppy with an underlying and undiagnosed developmental brain issue brought us into the hospital. All of the staff at Pressly were extremely kind and attentive to the needs of our dog Bailey. The staff at the front desk took her in right away and we saw Dr. Pressly after sitting in the room for only a few minutes. He was just as upset as we were about the whole situation. Dr. Pressly informed us of the options for treatment and gave his suggestion of what would be the best. Bailey crossed the rainbow bridge being held and loved. We cannot thank the staff at Pressly Animal Hospital enough for the level of care we received. These people truly love animals and want what is best for them.

Dr. Pressly is Amazing! My Golden Retriever, Bentley, had his leg amputated due to cancer. Dr. Pressly personally called me before and after the surgery. Bentley stayed overnight, and Piper, the tech, sent me numerous pictures to ease my anxiety. When I picked him up, Dr. Drake went above and beyond to help answer any questions and assured me he would be okay. Ryan, the tech, wasn’t working that day, and he helped me put Bentley into my car. It just shows how much they care about the animals they treat and what a fantastic job they do of dealing with the crazy owners. 😜

Our apparently healthy, two year cat, died ten days ago after eight days and three visits in their ‘care’. On 7.8 she was lethargic, not eating, we took her for an urgent care visit. Dr Drake did a superficial exam , no X-ray or blood work, gave no diagnosis, and treated her slight fever. 3 days later she was a little improved, we were having to hand feed her, we updated Dr Drake whose input was to continue feeding her, no need to panic. Wednesday she wasn’t improving, we went back. Dr Pressly did X-ray and blood work, X-rays showed she was full of gas and poo, blood work was supposedly ok, no diagnosis, send home with appetite stimulator. Thursday she was eating, still lethargic, drooling and with what we now realize were seizures. Friday morning their emergency line said the drooling was due to nausea possibly. Friday afternoon she went in. Dr Pressly diagnosed poisoning, we could not identify the toxin, they tried to stabilize her but couldn’t and we had to put her to sleep. It also seems her kidney enzymes were raised on the Wednesday which they didn’t tell us, He offered to waive the treatment bill for that day ( admission of culpability ?). Anyway to summarize, it looks like she probably had symptoms of poisoning on the first visit. They failed to appropriately diagnose or attempt to treat her appropriately on the first two visits. Poisoning wasn’t mentioned to us as a possible cause during those visits. We didn’t expect miracles but at least if they had tried to treat for a possible toxin the first day I suspect there was a greater chance she might be alive. We also got misleading info from them during the week about her progress and the drooling, we won’t be going back there.

THEY. WILL RIP. YOU. OFF. I got my cats neutered here, scheduled through the GCSPCA adoption program. So it was a free procedure, BUT they charged me $60 for the tiny, thin, plastic neck cones that you pretty much have to have….That’s $30 EACH. Are you kidding me?! They are LITERALLY worth about $0.25! AND they never gave me back my blanket that was in one of their carriers! That was their special blanket they’ve had since they were born. So upset…
