Whatever you do, don't call the mobile crisis for a loved one. They send out police instead. This is not helpful. Actually does more damage to your Loved ones. Reach out to NAMI either in Mecklenburg or forest city for real help. They will help you in a crisis.

Love this place!!! Places like this are essential to making certain life changes. I owe a lot to Phoenix counciling and will be an advocate for life.

The only reason I gave a 3 and not a 1 is because of Carl, Mary Lynne, Meredith, Nichelle, and Deborah. The above mentioned folks are by far amazing human beings and great employees. The other front desk staff at the 7 day program are extremely rude and disrespectful to the patients. One in particular treats you like a prisoner instead of an individual seeking help for themself. Cassandra is by far the most hateful burnt out employee I’ve ever met. She is down right mean and needs to be retrained on how to treat people with dignity and respect. Most patients are coming in at the lowest points in their lives. We don’t need to be reminded of the things we have done wrong or treated like trash because we already feel that way. A smile and some positive words would go go a long way when we are beginning our new journey to recovery. My last 3 days there was not 1 single group meeting. They rely on celebrate recovery, AA, and NA to come in and run groups on the weekend nights (and they’re amazing!), but no groups during the weekdays when they have more staff in the building. I understand being short staffed but when you have patients in detox facility for 7 days that are trying to better their lives, we need stimulation and we need to learn tools to help us with our recovery. This is a crucial time for someone trying to escape addiction to learn how to better themselves and how to recover. Long story short: if you want to improve your program, please fire Cassandra and start having groups daily.

Phoenix Counseling has the best of the best counselors. Rhonda, Molly, Angel, Tonya and so on. They have helped me strengthened my goals and those of others. I recommend those who are in need of help seek the help here at Phoenix and talk to some one. They are nothing but love, joy and happiness. Love all you do and may god continue to bless all of you do and you’re hard work on you’re continuance to change people’s lives.

yes
When I was looking into it a while back for detox on the back side of the building, you have to be there at 7am sharp on Monday morning with everything you need (clothes, toiletries, etc.), if they have a bed available and you’re eligible, they admit you right then. If there are no open beds, you have to try again the following Monday. The process could be different now as this was a few years ago and though I’m pretty sure the detox in the back is for Phoenix, I’m not 100% certain. I believe it is though, as it’s just a 7 day detox you have to do as a first step before Phoenix will admit you into their program(s)
