Educational experience and well done, but small museum. $5 entrance. Bathrooms available. To see the ruins up close, you have to walk in a loop (0.6 miles). The structures are all very similar. Nice place to visit once only if you're in the area.

Area is quite large with Forest Rangers, museum, camping, fishing. $5 entry fee. We were here for under an hour for lack of time. Great views, Pony Express, etc. Desert wildlife spotted.

This was a neat find! Small museum with some great items ("stay off the artillary"). A nice walk around the remains of the fort. Small mostly empty cemetary. Pony Express. A good little diversion off the main road.
