Cool spot for a short break on our motorcycle. We couldn't get any closer for a better shot. Would have been cool to explore.

We've driven by this many times en route to OR. It wasn't until scrolling around Maps that I noticed the marker for it on the side of the highway. This time, we stopped and read about it to the kids. Only thing missing is a roadside historical marker.

A cool, but very dangerous place to visit. Enjoy it from the shore. Stay off of the ship unless you're looking to tetanus or a very serious bacterial infection as there is sharp, and rusty metal edges all over the place. I think I might have lock jaw from getting stabbed in the foot. Not smart.

Was just here a few minutes ago. And was told to immediately get off the property as it's apparently on private property. The guy that told me to leave said it was his property and they bought the ship to tear it apart. Not sure if he was lying to me about this being private property or not but there are signs at the pull off saying no traspasing.

Questions & Answers

Why is this garbage being left on the shoreline. It's bad enough that smaller amounts of garbage are left elsewhere. Just think of all that asbestos polluting the river.

How about instead of being negative about the situation turn into a positive and get this ship restored to its former glory... that ship right there was in the Guinness Book of World Records as world's largest hydrofoil... It saddens me to see people who are undereducated and misinformed pushing to destroy something that they have no clue about... Well word has it that this ship will be gone soon... after that there goes yet another piece of history... All that will be left of her is a few pictures of her and someones comment of "Why is this garbage being left on the shoreline." and "Just think of all the asbestos polluting the river."...
