Park is very organized and family friendly. You can ride a bike here or take a walk with your family. There are lakes that you can fish and release back. You can do BBQ here at the pavilions. There are several swings by the lake. Do not forget that park will be closing at the sunset. The police car is always near and searching for any inconvenience.

Absolutely beautiful serene park. A hidden treasure. I was not aware of this park until I moved into the neighborhood. I love running in this park and walking with my family. It’s very quiet and peaceful.

Like this park. Not crowded. There's public restroom and shadow benches. Pet's friendly. Good place to spend a couple of hours in silence.

Clean, beautiful, peaceful and spacious park. I love to walk the trail with my dog.

6 to 8 foot on average. NO, it is NOT recycled water!! The reclaim water system was destroyed during Harvey. It is currently being rebuilt. Once we start using reclaim water, the testing on the water has higher standards (by state law & requirement) than the normal discharge to Cypress Creek has. It is not supposed to be drinkable water, but I can tell you the testing results come back showing it clean enough to drink.
It's public. The fish are pretty stingy though and fairly small. Good luck! Hope you catch a big one.
Forest Oaks Park is privately owned by the Water Control & Improvement District 110 and not just a general public park. The Districts residents & taxpayers fund and pay for the park. The is open for non-residents to use provided they follow the posted park rules & policies. Jody Dellinger District Manager

Yes maam you do. Its not hard to get it. Its sold at walmart, any fish and tackle store, and any store that sells bait.
Yes, there at least two - three grills and covered seating areas at this park. The clean restrooms are a plus too.
From the drive in gate, down the asphalt to the back gate, around the the bak lake and back to the trail between the lakes and the road and back to the main drive in gate, 2 times around is a certified 5K. 3.2 miles. https://www.wcid110.com/park

Plastic worms, live nightcrawlers, either one. Lakes are Catch & Release ONLY for visitors that are NOT residents of WCID110. Staff and Constables do periodically check. Fore residents of WCID110, Lakes are Catch & Release for ALL BASS ALWAYS, also channel and blue cats under 14 inches. Everything else is free game to take. Jody Dellinger District Manager WCID110
Minnows or worms. Both work well.
Thank you what's the best kind of live bait to use?
I think so, yes.
Fishing is allowed , CATCH & RELEASE ONLY . They are extremely protective of these fisheries. Great place to fish, picnic , bbq, walk the 2 mile trail around the 3 ponds . Simply beautiful. GO CATCHEM!!
The park is open to the public so there should be no problem taking photos there. If you have a specific picnic area you want to use you may need to see if it's already reserved.
