Absolutely beautiful!!! Our family enjoys going for drives and enjoy the outdoors. We ended up just driving here just to check it out and it was worth the drive. Gorgeous scenery and lots of deer everywhere.

Stunning views across Payette Lake, wooded trails lead you to rocky beaches perfect for picnics and swimming. Don't forget your cooler and floaty, the water is clear and the sun is shining. …

This park is really wonderful. We try to go every summer and stay at the cabins, but it can be hard to book them. It usually requires booking exactly 6 months in advance at midnight for holiday weekends. There is nice beach shoreline right …

Such a beautiful spot to camp. The lake is clear and gorgeous and the grounds are clean as well. Plenty of little spots to camp, either in tents, cabins, or your RVs. The day use area is big and open too.

Many spots. You can reserve online through the Idaho Parks and Recreation website.
All tent pads vary in size some, but look to vary from 9' to 12' in width and 20' to 28' in length as listed on the website. These are for tent camping specific sites per the booking website. I recommend you make a reservation as the campsites are hard to acquire via walk-ins. Here a good website to do so: https://www.reserveamerica.com/explore/ponderosa-state-park/ID/313031/overview
Yes there were.
You have to use the fire pits in established camp grounds
Most of the time you need reservations in s 9 months in advance
$80 or so you can check the Idaho State Parks and Recreation
Once the snow is deep enough and the trails are groomed, they are closed to vehicle traffic
All of the sites at Ponderosa fill up months in advance.

Along with all the previous answers cheap thrills usually has jet skis. Make sure to call ahead with any of these to scheduke a time because they book up fairly fast.
