Irma was really amazing. From wash to the straightening of my hair. I can't wait to go again

THIS SCHOOL IS A SCAM! Don’t waste your time going to get your license here and don’t waste your time getting your hair done here!! The first 9 weeks are in the classroom and the rest of the time is spent alone on the floor totally unguided. If you have issues with students or staff your comments and concerns will fall on deaf ears. Staff members join student cliques and talk poorly and start drama on other students and staff members ignore it and deny it when it is brought up. If you have an issue it will be ignored until it is no longer in a window where it can be helped!

I had such a wonderful experience getting my hair cut by one of the students! Ashley, who is actually graduating soon, did a great job cleaning up my layers and making it look beautiful. I highly recommend giving them a chance and the cost of a haircut is only like $20!

Kim Avcaisha Hunt was excellent. Had a wash and blow out and was very pleased with the results

yes
Yes they do and silk wraps
They do wonderful work with highlights. Students at a certain level in their training provide the services (for nominal fees.... be sure to tip well - the services are dirt cheap). As the students work with clients, teachers (think they are called learning coaches) walk around and observe and interact w students (and clients as well if you want to discuss the processes to get what you want). Primarily the teacher works w student so student learns to work/interact w client on the own. My hair is thin and below shoulder length. I have had two full head foil highlights done and each was ONLY $45 plus I tipped $20 each time. Very pleased with all interactions from receptionists to teachers to students. Nice place. Many students I have spoken with are pleased w the program and excited for their futures. Most of them already have jobs secured which is great news in this economy. Nice to see so many bettering themselves to be self-sufficient/productive.
Haircuts are $12. Short haircuts are $5 on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Are you asking about a touch-up, like a trim around the ear and neck with trimmers?
Not sure but wensdays and Thursday are discount nights but not sure of exact pricing
Depends. Do you have virgin hair and also depends on how dark to light you are desiring. You will need to make an appointment. When you arrive we can do a consultation. No stylist can answer that question without a consultation first. Thank you.
Yes it is. It starts at 50 and each bowl of additional bleach and toners
Not at this present time. But manicures and gel polish on natural nails are offered.
If pets are not welcome then ESAs are also not welcome. ESAs are very different from Service Dogs and they do not have public access rights. (My cat is my ESA)
They do both!
Definitely. The girl who used to do my hair there now works for Salon Alexandria in Mt Pleasant, and the girl who does my hair now will be going back to Columbia to work her mother's salon and eventually take over.
Makelah - hope you have already found info you need to pursue your training. If not, certainly the best way to obtain accurate information would be to contact the school directly. Their website has all the contact information. Good luck.
Not every day, they are open some nights for the night students.
Yes.
