Had high hopes for this experience. New in town and needed to start switching my providers to local ones. And as I was referred to Dr. Kramer (know lots of Ross grads) by my neighbor who really appreciates the care he’s given her. First mistake, the woman who took my call initially to make a first time appointment for Dr. Kramer, did not seem to understand his Friday schedule and scheduled me « with him » (so she said) at 10:30 today. When I arrive, it’s jam packed and the majority of the patients seem irritated that they’ve been waiting an hour or more. I give them my info, ID, and insurance and I’m told to wait. 2+ hours later after ALL the patients have been seen, one employee comes up and asks me who I’m waiting for. I explain my situation and I can tell by her face that I am not expected. She tells me about his on-call situation (he was in the office as I did see him walk by me) and ask if I would be willing to see another, so I said sure to Dr Ravenel (as I remember he had good reviews). Appointment is fine. I schedule for what he asks and am told that my script will be electronically sent to my CVS within 30 min (that I had given his nurse). Sitting in the parking lot now of CVS AT 3PM and the pharmacist tells me there is no script under my name anywhere in the CVS system. I call the office, it’s now considered after hours so I wait for the on-call doc. They are unable to help me expect to put a note in to the doc/nurse about the situation. So I have to wait until Monday to call and find out about the script they should have sent. 🤷🏽‍♀️ But honestly, it’s been a shit experience to start and end with. And while the nurses, the doc, and staff were nice. I work in healthcare. If you’re gonna take a call when you’re in a patient’s room, you excuse yourself. (I have to do it all the time). And you most certainly send in the script when you know that patient was inconvenienced for over 2 hours in your office. Funnily enough, I didn’t even make a scene at the office. I was tired and hungry. But now, I’m irritated because my whole day is thrown off because of that appointment. And now I can’t even get possible relief with the medication he supposedly ordered until I call on Monday to ask where it is. I get it. You’re a busy office. I get that you have EMR changes. Even still, the bare minimum expectation was not met and many people dropped the ball which contributed to a sucky first experience at this office for me. 😞

I absolutely love Dr. Ravenell and Ms. Sharalyn (WHNP). Both of them are very compassionate and knowledgeable in their field. I would definitely recommend either of them to any new patient.

They deserve zero stars in my opinion but had to select one. Horrible women's care establishment.
