Women's restroom was out of order. Urinals were clean and had fresh complimentary mouthwash tablets. Gas station down the street was out of glizzy's but the I met a man here named Pat who gave me one he been keeping warm in the cupholder of his car.

Old vintage station. Feels like you're back in the 1950s sittin in here. I myself haven't had any problems w/ staff. A word of caution though : do NOT try to walk to downtown from this station. Armed criminals are hiding along the route for those foolish enough to try it.

Mixed review. The train ride itself was lovely... restful trip on a clean, quiet car with free wifi, and lots of legroom. The Charlotte train station felt like we went back to 1959, and not in a good way. Upon arrival, shocked at how tiny and antiquated the station was with zero modern amenities. The bathrooms were inaccessible except with a code (but then they were clean but really old. Then, on the way back, we were exposed to an obnoxious group of rednecks who had no sense of invading other people's space or disturbing what had been a peaceful interlude while waiting for the train on the return trip. Then everyone had to line up in the cramped station to gain access to the train platform. Felt like a mini super spreader event, with less than half of the people masked. With all of the beautiful and bewitching buildings and development in Charlotte, this sore thumb has gangrene.

Mrs. Hurd there is a daily Train that leaves Amtrak at 645a..if you are checking bags or leaving your car please arrive early so that you have enough time to check your bags and go inside the train station and get a parking pass...In the event you miss the 645a Train..you can always take Train 74 that leaves Charlotte at 1030a and arrive in Raleigh at 110p..and then have your loves pick you up...I hope this was helpful...
Not Amtrak nor the Lynx Line
Wait and see what time the train starts.
No
I left my vehicle at the Amtrak station from Wednesday to Saturday during the Thanksgiving weekend and didn't have any issues.
I'm not sure. They answer the phone if you call though.
I believe so, they have a side parking lot as well as the main ...I have seen buses parked there at times
Take a taxi, Uber, Lyft, or the #11 bus that runs from the station to Uptown Charlotte. You can take the bus for free if you ask the train conductor for an NC Transit Pass before you reach Charlotte.
If you are getting off of the Amtrak train and if it is on time there will be a number 11 bus right outside the station doors and that bus will take you to the Transportation center and from there you would catch the lynx line..
You can walk through the homeless corridor to the extremely expensive hotels in uptown. I would not recommend it at any time of day. Very high crime area.
Amtrak station to the Airport is 8 miles west of the station..
They definitely are. If you're taking a fairly local trip and traveling alone, you may find it's just as cheap to ride the train as it is to drive.
Probably couple hundred
It depends where you go.
Yes it is.
Amtrack, YES Train, 76, ?
Go to amtrak.com,I'm not sure it stops there.
30 minutes and you can take luggage
You can bring but you cant use
Airport drop off is probably your best bet for drop off. Yes you can check your bags and hang around, no problem.
It's free
Depend on where yu park
Patricia, it depends on which train you take. The Crescent should take 8 hours 14 minutes, while the Carolinian should take 9 hours 46 minutes. Both assuming there are no delays.
Yes
No. Baggage must travel with the passenger.
No. Cabs pass through when the trains arrive. You have the option to call.
Everywhere there are people, there's a community. You want to be more specific about your questions, so we can give you real answers
There is a train station in Charlotte but as far as going to Myrtle Beach I think you would have to transfer in Raleigh or something like that
I believe to go south to Atlanta you have to depart from Raleigh or Wilson, NC. The Raleigh to Charlotte train ends in Charlotte.
Depends on how you are traveling not sure of the bus right route nor train..I live in raleigh and the panda or wanda coach bus cost me 60$
Public transit or Uber. Bus stop is directly outside of Train Station. Uber is more convenient.
Download the amtrak app or go to the website.
No shuttles.
Google it, not certain.
Yes im open
Yes on certain long haul Amtrak routes.
The closest station to Athens is probably Gainesville GA. You can take a train there from Charlotte.
Not correct, the Carolinian and the Crescent both serve Charlotte to New York daily.
Yes. There are four trains per day from Charlotte to Cary.
It's extremely unlikely that they would ask for the ID of a child traveling with you, but if you are concerned about that possibility you can call Amtrak at 1-800-USA-RAIL. Keep in mind that security on Amtrak is much more lax than it is when traveling by air.
You should check amtrak.com for the latest fare and availability information.
Yes
Florence, SC. I personally cannot recommend taking the train there from Charlotte. It would take most of the day and you'd still have a car rental or an expensive Uber ahead of you in Florence.
There is no rental car at the station, but Enterprise will pick you up...
6:45 a.m. daily.
No Amtrak stops at the Amtrak station. Discovery Place is about a mile south of the station. Dont walk Uber Cab or that other one.
Good morning Mrs. Owen's the station is open 24 hrs in the event you arrive at the station and no one is at the window they will be right back they are working the train..
You would end up at Penn Station in Midtown Manhattan, which is underneath Madison Square Garden.
The rental car office will be close I suggests you call Enterprise to bring a car to the Amtrak train station and they right down the milledge and leave the keys in a envelope at the ticket office and we will give it to you as long as you show your drivers license.
Parking is free any time as long as you come to the ticket window show your travel ticket and you will be issue a parking pass
Absolutely....
Yes just let the ticket agent know and ask for a parking pass.
No lockers 10.00 and 20.00 storage fee
Mrs. Futch you park at your own risk, but we ask you not to leave anything of value in your car.. and also we have Hi-Tech cameras...if traveling by Amtrak you will need a parking pass that we offer free of charge that you will display on your dash inside your car...We also have Police at the station nightly for all of our safety....So please come and join us we look forward to meeting you....
Bojangles about 2 blocks away
No rental car services available. You have to go into town for that.
All Amtrak trains eastbound for 13-14 hours.
Unfortunately no. There is no connections from the Amtrak station to either Parkwood and 25th St. You need to go to No.11 and go to Tryon St & Periwinkle Hill station. There is a light rail station here.
I've left my car there for a week. You get a parking pass from the station people to put on top of the dashboard.
"The Crescent" leaves around 2:45 am.
It's pretty far, but taxis are available
Yes, there is a southbound Piedmont arriving in Charlotte around 3:04 Sunday afternoon. More schedules are on the Amtrak website.
It is possible but terms and conditions apply, Ask the front desk
