Upon entering our room, we noticed a wrench (hand tool) laying on one of the end tables. After using the restroom, the toilet did not flush. We were told by the front desk that this room was supposed to be "out of order," and was given another room. The cable TV signal kept going out. The bathroom towel rack was coming off the wall. The bellman's luggage rack - looks very outdated, supposed to be brass, not black/brown from it being dirty! We had to pay for parking as well! Upon checking out, the front desk clerk did not greet me nor acknowledge me with a, "morning," "checking out?" NOTHING! After I told her we were checking out, she gave me the folio/receipt - without a "thank you," or, "how was your stay" - NOTHING!! The hotel looked outdated and in my opinion, does NOT meet the Marriot hotel standards! Staff needs to be re-trained, and lots of $$ needs to be invested in this property.

I don’t take pleasure in writing a negative review since I stay about 80 nights a year with Marriott family of hotels, and I hope I just got the one bad room. Overall, this hotel is dated, and my room was in disrepair and dirty. I will start with the negatives: The front desk staff was not overly friendly and seem to be somewhat disengaged. They did not clean my room or change the bedding prior to my arrival this was evident by the stain on the bed sheet that I found! My room was in very poor condition with the dated popcorn ceiling texture getting ready to fall off over the bed along with cracks by the grab bar on the shower wall and the bathtub coating peeling off from some prior makeshift repair. The location of the hotel is not in a good area of downtown Dallas with a lot of homeless walking the streets. Because of this, they keep the lobby doors locked at all times and guests have to use their room cards to open the lobby door. I realize this is not the fault of Marriott however you would think the city of Dallas would want to keep their area by the convention center clean and drug free as much as possible. I have no desire to go back to this area and will pass on any trade shows that choose this location. I would have check out on the first night but everything close to the convention center was sold out. The only positive I can find was the breakfast had good variety and the staff running the breakfast was always friendly. It would be in the best interest of Marriott to sell this hotel due to the location or at the very least replace the management and some housekeeping staff!

Great staff very helpful and friendly. 1st room was missing the door lock and was right across from elevator. Front desk moved me to another room whoch also was only 2 doors away from elevator. Noise in hallway was louder than i would have liked. The hotel was not a 4 star hotel. Very run down, old, and needs repairs. Beds were older and not comfortable. Location was great. Online shows parking included which it wasn't. The hotel has 5 spots and I paid 30$ for one for 2 nights. Not horrible but not what was advertised. I have photos but no where do I see I can post. For a quick weekend trip it was tolerable but not worth what we paid. Can't believe Marriott would approve this hotel for their brand. I read a response that said they were starting repairs soon but that was I believe 3 months ago and it doesn't seem as if that's happened yet.

Great location! That’s the only good thing about it. The attractions are walking distant. Does not meet Marriott Standards. We were told rooms were cleaned on the third day only. Staff was friendly & would give you what you need upon request but this hotel is definitely in an older run down building. It needs major work and a deep sanitation cleaning.

If walking toward the House of Blues, it feels unsafe as the area under the freeway is not very well lit.
Yea it's more better to call in check first, most hotels you'll have to have a credit card in your name and this you have too....
Yes
When I was there, we drove in at 2 pm. We checked out at noon
Use the lot a cross the street. I think ut like 20 a day. Whatever it is its cheaper than the hotel
I would call them and ask.
