Started the day will Teresa on a walking tour. Very informative and learned a few new things that I was previously unaware of. She was a great guide! Finished the day with Chip, Charlie and Jess on the Zip Lines. Unbelievably great time! Extremely fun and unique! Both of these are must do activities if you are visiting Louisville or if you live in the area.

Much cooler than I expected! Mega Cavern is an old limestone mine that is massive. It has some interesting history as well once being a fallout shelter. Now it is a driving tour, adventure area, zip line tour, light show and even commercial storage. Worth the visit!

This adventure was the best idea, something different, and it did not disappoint. I registered, purchased tickets, and signed wavers all online and via digital delivery. It was so easy. I pulled up and drove around and found the location. There was not anyone else really around and even though there were signs I didn’t know what to do. I think those main tour doors needed to be construction orange or green with a big clear enter sign enter sign . There are lots of signs and info but needed to be a little more clear and simple.. After entering through the side and walking down a creepy hall, I walk into this massive room and there was the tram, and across the giant room was a town façade and waiting area. I made my way over and when walking into the underground welcome center was warmly greeting by seven or so staff. There was a gift shop, snack area, very nice restrooms, and an open indoor ropes course to the side. My tour was the first of the day of a Thursday so that was probably why there was no crowd to follow but it added to the adventure for me! The price was $21.94 and the tour lasted a little over an hour. It was awesome to see the inside and understanding the history and purpose of the cavern and it’s evolution. Shout out my tour guide Skeeter! He was the best! Great guide, extremely funny, and delivering an up beat, educational tour with a side of humor. I won’t give away all the history and stories so there will not be any real spoilers from the tour but I will say this was a great experience and so glad a booked the tram tour. It was definitely something different and fun to do.

the bike park is now permanently closed.
There are different activities available. Underground biking around 40 per ticket, obstacle course $34-39, zip line $59- 89 and the tram ride was somewhere around 20 I think. Children cost a little less
Yup, there are a few! You can check their website for more information on each
No date set as of last week
Who was A.
It's the same temp all year round. I'm sure they said it is 54° at all times
You can buy them on the cavern website. Our car was $30. Sooooo worth it. We loved it.
No, everything is inside. The cavern is actually classified as a building by the state of Kentucky because it's man made (old mining cavern).
It's in public but nobody can see anything. There's so much going on around that nobody even notices or cares. Go and have fun
Pretty lame considering the winter can bring alot of business offering a warmer haven for MTBers
May not be till spring. It has been very wet there this year.
We showed them the coupon online (via phone) and they accepted it. Have fun and Happy Birthday!
Not sure if you're talking about the Christmas lights tour as different activities charge different prices such as the zipline or bicycle activities. For the Christmas lights tour there is a $5 off coupon that you can print off the website .
Usually in the 30s but depending on outside could get lower. Varies from 50s- 20s fair to say.
Not sure why, they may have reopened it. The Zip Line is still in full swing!!!
Me? Or some one else?
If I recall correctly the zipline was $99
They do have snacks and soda machines
The guide said if it takes more than 24 hours you can call.
Just call and ask your question.
Negative. There are restrooms in the visitors center where you check in before you start and there is a porta potty at the very beginning but then you won't see that porta potty again until the tour is over....good luck
Nearest one that i saw was a little ways from there. It's not in the city proper but it's also not that far either.
The Mega Cavern goes through January 9th check out times Www.MegaCavern.com
Yes you must buy tickets online but you have the full day to attend

I was there on October 7th and they already had some lights.
Not sure how long it's valid for, but you can fill one out online on their website prior to showing up.
Hi Brian, no rain does not effect the tours and activities. Thank you from the Louisville Mega Cavern team!
It's right at 75$ per person.
When you get there!
I dont think so, there isnt a parking lot. You drive through in your personal vehicle to view lights.
Definitely take a tour of the Mega Caverns. Only takes about an hour, but it is brautiful...if you like Christmas lights.
There are guided tours normally, not sure about during the Christmas lights
It's easy to pick dates and times online, paying online works great too. If you have any questions just call their number. Great fun, cool guides are with your group the whole time, very safe.

Yes you can take it. They have a limited number of helmets with attachments or you can strap it on yourself. The only stipulation is that anything dropped is considered lost and they have no responsibility to you for your loss. Make sure you wear something with a secure pocket if you take anything with you.
They're pretty good folks. I'm confident they'll refund any unused tours.
the mega tram does, you need to call in advanced so they know, but it does have wheelchair access
Thanks everyone. I found that rv, and travel trailers park in the bus parking at the entrance.

Yes you can get a bike
Per the Louisville Mega Caverns website- $69.99/person weekdays, $79.99/person weekends.
Inside mega cavern just some snack, outside 6 or 7 blocks away Big Boys fast food, gas station, etc. Take with you some drinks and snacks.
Yes call to find out speficd or check web site.
My daughter went.this last weekend, she said it's well worth the cost
It depends on how busy it is; if there are spots available then you can get a ticket otherwise make a reservation.
They have to be a certain hight. Check out the website.
There are bikes to rent but they aren't for small children. Your best bet is to bring your own but the bike park is more or less designed for stunts/tricks and not just leisurely riding. Your best bet is to call to find out the staff recommendation. They were very helpful when I called.
They are a type of mountain bike. Wide wheels.
You can go online and print out a $5 coupon from their web site. You get your tickets at the event right at the entrance to the cavern. Expect to wait up to 25 minutes. Take cash to speed up the process.
No, there are enough holiday displays that you will have a great picture
We didn't have to wait on a weekday around 6:30pm but I saw on their website where you can purchase VIP tickets to skip the line if its something you're concerned about.
They started in November to move the decorations in the cave.
