If I could give this complex a ZERO I would. Management, specifically Kristen Tharrett is terrible. Beyond rude, unresponsive and scattered. The complex itself has also consistently gotten dirtier and damaged, such as what appear to be bullet holes in the front of the building. What started off as a positive living experience turned into a dreadful one, I would caution any potential renter to look elsewhere!!! For context, our storage unit was broken Into twice along with our cars in what we thought were secure. Lots of private property stolen. The management was very apathetic, did NOT add security cameras and were not cooperative with the authorities.

my actual star rating is ZERO. the property manager is VERY rude ! she kept interrupting me and it seemed like she had an attitude the whole conversation we had. it’s as if she hates her job and if that’s the case she should find a new one. it also took me calling multiple times over the past few days to finally get an answer. i asked to speak to someone else and she told me flat out no. it’s ridiculous.

They don't deserve the one star I was forced to give them. This complex is negligent in their customer service and does not operate with integrity/the best interest of their tenants. Before moving to the community I had to contact the GM-Kristen in regard to a less than satisfactory customer service exchange with AM-Soraida. After living at this property for a month and a few days I've become aware that the lack of respect and negligence for tenants is an attitude that is displayed from the top down. The management team at Avant lacks leadership, follow up and the will to ensure they exceed their customer's expectations. I would love if for once a request was fulfilled and the team actually did what they stated they are going to do. The night I moved into the unit 5/20/2020, I noticed there were many work order items that still needed to be completed. It was obvious that no care was taken when the walk-through was completed. So much so that during my first night at the apartment I had a faulty pipe under my sink and maintenance had to be dispatched to remedy the water issue that ensued. I've only been in this apartment a month and the issues have continued, please see my work order history - I have now had to request maintenance to look at my faulty refrigerator that leaks water onto my floors. Today I requested that the team send someone from GE appliances to come look at the fridge because I do not want to be responsible for water damage. Speaking of water damage, my sink was not functional due to the same pipe issue on 6/8/2020. I called the emergency line once more and the maintenance team refused to come. I also sent an e-mail to the GM detailing my concerns (which you will find attached). The next morning I did not receive a call from the GM and it wasn't until I called around noon that my issue was even addressed by a leasing consultant. To this day the GM has yet to apologize, respond to my e-mail or follow up on my concern in regard to her property. Ah, before I forget on 6/5/2020 I rented a storage unit on the property. I was advised before renting that there were items in the unit but they would be removed and the unit would be vacant for me to move into. I waited until 6/20/2020 to move my things into the unit. I scheduled movers and had them come out to move my things to find that there were still items in the unit and the unit was filthy. I spent 6/20/2020 sweeping and mopping the unit, and moving what I could move in. But, I had to pay the movers for there time and will have to pay them again for a second time to come out and move my things once the apartments moves the items out of storage. I was promised a follow up call on 6/22/2020 and did not receive one. I tried to call the office numerous times this week before creating a work order today. I received a response today advising that the team is only receiving e-mails and no longer accepting phone calls from residents because they are "closed". The office has been "closed" since before I moved in but they were receiving and accepting my calls. So I'm under the impression they are screening calls and not answering MY calls. The maintenance staff however is AMAZING!!!
