The service was good and we went right before the dinner rush so they were able to get us a good table. Ambiance was nice. The lighting was good for a date night. Good music playing in the background, but not too loud. For an appetizer, we tried the Burrata. It was good though I do wish there were a few more tomatoes. As an entree, we tried the Lobster Fra Diavolo and Halibut Cacciuccio. The pasta was just okay. We were missing more lobster and flavor. The halibut was cooked very well and tasty. For drinks, we tried the El Paradiso and Il Bandito. El Paradiso was very lavender forward but I liked it. It was refreshing. Il Bandito contains a 12 year old scotch that hubs liked very much. We enjoyed dessert the most. The Marsala Sabayon was delicious and the olive oil cake with candied pistachios was good as well but not great like the Sabayon.

We went on opening night. Beautiful decor. Staff was helpful and friendly. The cauliflower caesar was SO good. To the point that we kept looking at it like how can something taste so amazing? Also got the Taleggio which was delicious too. Got a couple pastas that weren’t too memorable. The olive oil lemon cream cake was tasty. Overall good experience. Would go back.

I think Sassetta is a tad to fresh to be judged. I understand that previously it was an amazing place but right now they don't have their feet under them yet. The food I sampled was fine, nothing blew me away, but it was good. The price for most things on the menu was quite affordable, especially considering it's downtown in a hotel. The service was friendly but besides the waitress not fully trained. I know it's only a few weeks in but I think they have some work to do in order to get back to the prime Sassetta.

Sassetta is back with a vengeance in their new location at the Joule downtown! Everything was excellent. The tuna carpaccio and the cauliflower caesar were both real show stoppers, the fresh pasta was spot on, and the service was top notch. Can’t wait to come back. A great addition to the downtown restaurant scene!

Sassetta's music level is business appropriate for lunch and a conversation comfortable level for dinner.
Pretty busy dinner crowd, would highly recommend reservations.
Not required but depending on time and day, you may want to call first or check Open Table, etc.
