A few tough areas but not bad. I would not recomend small kids, always see copperheads to and from the falls with a few slippery areas letting you fall up to 20 feet down. Worth the trip. Been here about 7 times over the years.

Yes, there are some steep parts though so prepare for that. And by steep I mean muddy slippery steep where humans lose footing and if you don't catch yourself it is serious injury. From the bend of the river (going from N/S to E/W) to the falls is the worst part.
Yes, it's a bushwhack with at least one stream crossing.
