Outrageously overpriced!!!

This used to be a good place for some home improvement supplies, some decent furniture that maybe needed some TLC, and maybe a cheap tool or two, or some cheap home decor Now everything is 4x or 5x as expensive as it was ,and often they are charging more than retail would be for a new item for the second hand items they are selling! For example, if you need a door, you are going to pay about 80% of retail value on a used salvage door here of what you would pay for a brand new door at Home Depot or Lowes. You're technically saving money, but its such a small amount for a potentially damaged/used product, you might as well just spend the extra and get the nice brand new door for all that. Used to be a good place, now it's being mismanaged. You can tell they aren't doing as well either because in the past their stock would turn over quite frequently, now they seem to have a LOT of stuff that just sits on the shelves. This place should be a boon for the community, keep things out of landfills, help people who aren't well off get cheap items to repair or fix up their home, spend the profits employing some individuals in the community, and the rest spent on giving back to the community. Now it feels like a for profit corporation that is not only being greedy, and but also not being very business savvy by driving off their customer base.

Stupid expensive. My family has donated quite a bit of items here but I've never stopped in before today. I couldn't believe the prices. There were 2 basic chairs listed at $600 a piece. There was a used kayak for $2,000. Furniture in poor condition, most not even real wood listed for $200. We walked out disappointed but at least it was funny! 😂

Honestly it's giving gentrification vibes. Used to have really reasonable prices for furniture (which is donated) but now they're way over priced. This place was the only reason I could furnish my house at one point, now I wouldn't be able to get anything. Disappointed how they're asking $80-$90 for scuffed end tables and partially broken book cases.

No. But why not ask for a lower price anyway. All they can say is no.
That's very kind of you. Hope you feel better quickly!
Yes they do
Yes
I believe that they are currently open Tuesday through Friday, 9 to 5.
I have not personally volunteered. I do have a few friends that have there and they all liked it.
Recommend calling them directly.
Yes, middletown seems to have a bigger selection.
I doubt they do, thats a good question
Not sure what they'll say to you
I've bought new leather lazyboy chairs there in the past, great price.
I had a few things delivered to me from there I HV the number of the fellow he was very honest and handle my things with care if u need his number let me know GD luck
You can get more info online, and or you can do what David said call
Yes they do. Unless they have a lot of stuff like that, they will take it.
The stock they have on hand changes all the time, you need to stop in and see what is available!!
There is always a different selection each time you go, all depends on what donations come in but every time I go in they have recliners but not always double.
If someone says they saw one it wouldn't mean you'd see one when you go. Goods are constantly moving in and out. Calling is a good idea and if they say it's there, hurry and pick it up!
They have lots of power recliners that lift as well, but not stair lifts.
You can ask, but the answer is probably no
I'm not sure about the Wilmington location, but a couple of other ones I've been to, will provide pickup service.
