On Wednesday July 27th I took my 2 grand children to see Thor at 4:20 PM at the Cedar Hill location. After selling us the tickets the employee looked at my small backpack and says through the glass that backpacks are not allowed. Mind you we were just there Monday and I had the same bag and no one said a word. I returned to my vehicle and pulled out my wallet, phone house keys and car keys. Upon entering back into the building I asked to speak to a manager. There are no signs posted that backpacks of any size are prohibited. The manager proceeds to say because of an incident there they are not allowing backpacks. Again no signs at all. Supposed I went there via uber and didn’t have the ability to leave my purse in my vehicle???? The manager said I could go back and get my bag but keep in mind the movie had already started, I’m 65 years old and it’s 102 degrees. As we were exiting the theater I clearly saw a white woman with the same size bag as mine leaving the theater. What made her any different from me? Again I’m 65 and was stopped. Felt like the policy applies to certain groups of people regardless of their age. Employees can’t racial profile who should be allowed to bring a backpack in or not. If this is a policy make it for Everyone not just people of color. It’s disgusting. Do better.

I just wish they were capable of keeping it a little cleaner. But I do understand the lack of staff plays a factor in this. Other than that I enjoyed seeing a movie here it was my first time here.

This theater was empty which made it nice for us and getting whatever seating we wanted. Saw the movie uncharted and it was not bad. I didn't ever get to play the game but my son told me it was not like the game. The theater did not have nachos and other snacks. But the popcorn was fresh and the sodas were good. Theater was clean and restrooms were real clean.
