PLEASE read this and NEVER go to the Emergency Room at this hospital. I was having pain, weakness, nausea, and shortness of breath. I sat in the waiting room for over 8 hours and had gone up to the desk numerous times explaining how sick I was but was told to have a seat and they would be with me when they could. I left as it was approaching 9 hours and sought help at another hospital. There I was found to have blood clots which had traveled to my lungs and were blocking the arteries (pulmonary embolism). This is why I was having trouble breathing. I was transferred to another hospital where I had a procedure that saved my life. This place should be shut down!!!! They are so uncaring and incompetent. I work in the medical profession and would never work at this place. I would be totally embarrassed to be associated with such a horrific place! I don't know how they continue to stay in business. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOSPITAL!!!!!!!!!

6 weeks pregnant. Came here at 8am due to light spotting/vaginal bleeding, it is now 10:45 am. Requested an ultrasound. I have been here almost 3 hours, and have not been assisted outside of getting my vitals taken. Very bad experience, and I will never come back here. Had to keep asking nurses to update me on the wait time, watched patients that came in after me be seen while I had to wait in the lobby concerned and worried about the health of my child. This is my first pregnancy, would not recommend anyone who wants to be seen in an urgent manner to come here.

Consider yourself fortunate if you can't find this place. EMTs took my father there on Christmas Eve. He was conscious and coherent and even in a playful mood when I saw him last in the ambulance. By the time I arrived at the Eastside ER, Daddy was "asleep." He remained in that state as orderlies transferred him from bed to gurney, rolled him to the cardiac ward, and transferred him onto another bed. I noted his uninterrupted sleep; the orderlies left. A physician's assistant came in, asked questions about Dad, gave him a cursory check, and left. A nurse came in and asked me to help her roll my father to remove the sheets beneath him. When he remained "asleep" for that, she realized something was wrong and immediately leapt into impressive action. So did her colleagues, who materialized in seconds and dashed into my room to try to revive my father. I loved their urgent, concerted effort. But that doesn't erase the fact that in the ER, my father slipped into a coma, and NO ONE NOTICED!
