I was so nervous but they made me feel right at home. The ladies in the infusion center building b 2nd floor are the best and Lilly was my nurse both times and she always made sure I was okay. Thank you all for making it an amazing experience. Now time to rest and hopefully hit remission !!!!

We have been going to Northside...which im not fan of....for my dads stomach cancer diagnosis. I wanted a second opinion...When I initially called, the representative on the phone was very dismissive.I decided to call back and got an excellent rep. Anita, she spent over an hour trying to schedule for a second opinion.Long story short we had to wait over a month for their second opinion. It was well worth it.This is what I was looking for when my dad started this journey .we were scheduled to see Dr. Olumide Gbolahan. He was thourough, patient. Kind, honest, and very good at explaining everything in understandable terms. He was blunt but compassionate. He reallly knows the medical aspect of things but also knows how to effectively communicate with his patients. I felt 100% better after speaking with him.oh...and he didnt rush us at all .highly recommend.

When my healthy and robust brother received a diagnosis of a rare and advanced form of blood cancer, my family was reeling with the news. Things were dark that first two weeks. But we're also a family who knows how to research and the first thing we did was find the top specialist in the field (Sagar Lonial, MD...we had to wait 2 months to see him but 100% worth it) and the next thing we did was transfer all of his treatment to the Winship Cancer Institute where Dr. Lonial is the medical director. Five rounds of chemo and a successful stem cell transplant later, my brother reached "complete response" and the quality of his life one year later is remarkable. The nurses, the valet staff (we really got to know them :), the interns, the docs who did the daily rounds, even the views onto the Emory campus from his hospital bed (seen below)....honestly, we could not have had a better experience. We 100% recommend the Winship Center.

Jacquie, feel free to contact Winship about locations, they have multiple clinics at their hospitals - below is a link to their program and staff that specializes in multiple myeloma. If you are out of the Atlanta Metro area, I do know that Winship does have a guest house for cancer patients and their spouse caregivers to use during treatment. https://winshipcancer.emory.edu/patient-care/cancer-types/multiple-myeloma.html
Yes. we met him! Dr Force, he is located at Emory Clinic, main campus in Clifton Road. He is the head thoracic surgeon professor and the head of thoracic surgery for Emory.
Winship is at 1365 Clifton Rd. My husbands Oncologist name is Regina Kudchacar. The hospital has a program called Charity Care if he doesn't qualify for anything else I would check into that. They have awesome Drs there.
I do know that Winship does this sort of thing at their St Joseph campus, with geneological profiling and DNA testing for indicators, and I do believe that this testing and counseling service is covered by insruance.
Go to the Emory Medical Center website.
Do you need a referral to see a GI doctor and do you except GA medicaid?
