They’re the worst.. insensitive, dismissive, arrogant not sympathetic about anything dealing with a dialysis patient, I’ve been on the transplant list for 5 years and they give the worst treatment I’ve received from medical professionals. If I die it’s because of them.

After many tests and visits, ended up in the hospital at Emory in a coma. After two evaluations by the "committee", denied a liver because "not enough family support". Fortunately my doctor knew a doctor at Piedmont and I was transferred there. Received transplant Christmas day 2014. Went on to become a nurse practitioner and am doing well. No thanks to Emory. The full story about Emory Transplant services. They just told my family that I was going to die. They rally don't care one way or another.

This is an amazing facility with the very best surgeons, nephrologist and staff around. I had a previous transplant at Piedmont and this was by far superior. I highly recommend Emory Transplant Center.

Emory Is The Best!! They're caring, considerate and very good at what they do! I would like to tell everyone...if you're having any kind of failure on any of your body parts ask your doctor about Emory, they're great!

Emory is the place to be. Please contact his doctor and ask for a referral. When he goes he will be given a complete workup. At that point it will be determined if he qualifies for the transplants. You will meet with several specialists along with social workers who can help you tremendously. There us an inn that us called The Mason House, which is totally for transplant folks, before and after transplant, is where we stayed before transplant and now when I go back to see my team. The cost is $45 per night.
I don't think so, but call the coordinator line.
They would have to contact James transplant coordinator at the transplant center to get tested to see if they're a match.
Caregivers can stay 24 hrs. Max of two other people from 9am 9pm. Hope this helps. Kind of depends on your nurse. But they were great to me.
