They struggled with the large influx of people. The hospital rooms are hard to come by. It took me better than 10 to 12 hours to be assigned a room based on need for surgery. Once one gets passed the gauntlet it's fantastic.

My family recently visited Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford to meet our new granddaughter. The staff are very accommodating and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed to make the most of our visit. Rooms were comfortable and clean. We appreciate how the staff cares for the parents and ensures the baby's needs. We definitely recommend this hospital to others.

I was in a mental health crisis the week of July 10th. I'm out of town (visiting my grandparents, who has very little understanding of Mental Health) First, I was beyond Frustrated with the Tennessee Crisis Lines... which left no other choice to call A Suicide Hotline (local to my home town) because of my area code. After constant frustration, 911 was my last option. I didn't need an ambulance, Just wanted to see if I could sit down to talk to a mental health professional about my anxiety. The police that showed up to my grandparents door around 8am Friday 7/15, they suggested a doctor office visit. The doctor wasn't available and too far away (In Nashville) (grandparents live in Murfreesboro) . So I made that decision, Take me to the ER! After checking in, luckily getting back quickly, sitting in the ER for 5-6 hours without anyone to talk with was absurd. I was scared, had no idea what I gotten myself into, and laid in a bed (in a hallway) for that long. People were too busy to ask how I was doing and only came to talk about where to go from there. No communication either. They come, ask me questions and leave for hours before the next update. Let me tell you... leaving anyone , especially a young gal, like me, (25) with high anxiety alone basically I think is not expectable. Shaking with anxiety and stressed out no one is there to calm me down. It was traumatic.

We were in town from Michigan and my husband suffered an unexpected diverticular bleed. Although, the emergency room was crowded and there weren't any immediate beds available, I can say that the Doctor's and staff did the best they could and provided my husband with excellent medical care given the circumstances, which is most important. My husband was admitted and I felt a reassurance because the doctor, nurses, cnas, food and support staff were all stellar. The hospital was clean and comfortable, which help during a crisis. The gastrointestinal team was thorough and the technology were top notch. I have only positive things to say about St. Thomas Hospital 🙌🏾

No idea. Large influx of people with medical issues. If you aren't experience a hard core emergency try a urgent care. You may find it quicker and less stressful. But do remember they too might refer you to a hospital in ER. That happened to me a while back.
No but letting them know you will be seeing someone 😊, could they have a bed or a room available already could be a question?
