I found a dog on the side of the road on Sep. 11th 22. I went to the shelter on the 13th to make an apt to bring him in. I was told to bring him Tuesday the 20th. When I arrived Tuesday the girl was very cold and acted as if I was lying about talking with someone about the stray dog. Told me to bring him in the following Friday. I brought him on Friday the 23rd and the girls working side eyed me when I brought him in and weren’t very welcoming or talkative and short with me as if I was the bad guy for brining the dog up there. The dog was aggressive towards my dogs so I had to keep him up for 2 weeks almost away from my dogs, it shouldn’t take that long to get a stray in and they shouldn’t be rude when I was trying to help a dog from getting hit, attacked, or hurt. I wont deal with them again due to their attitudes.

I'm not sure but I think it's 16 years old. I believe most shelters require you to attend a volunteer class and then you will be set to go. Volunteers are desperately needed at shelters all across the country. It's very rewarding and very eye opening. Animals love us unconditionally...they deserve to be loved back and properly cared for. Go up there and talk to them! All super nice people!

You will have to call the shelter. Sometimes they are so full (in puppy and kitten season) that they don't have space available for owner surrenders. Unless you can safely place them with someone you know, then the shelter is the only other place.

No, there are not any type of license needed to have a dog. Just don't let it run at large off your property.

Yes they became a no kill shelter a few years ago. Animal will only be euthanized if they show aggression
