Nice campground, clean showers. Same price as other campgrounds in the canyon that don't have showers. The river rocks you to sleep!

Great weekend getaway for those in Denver! Site 29 is great for privacy, higher up from the river and highway so little noise. Next to the vault toilet if you need it. We’ll be back!

This is a very well maintained campground. Camp Hosts come clean and rake every camping site after someone pulls out, so it looks nice for the next campers. Coin operated shower house 4 minutes for 50 cents. You can fill water jugs but not your RV. And no dump station so make sure your water tank is full and your black and grey tanks are empty.

Beautiful campground. I love it, the kids love it, the dog loved it. Been there twice in the past and is still amazing.

I think that depends on the age of the child. We always did the Mt McConnel trail. Started that when I was 8 or 9.

Do they sell firewood and ice on site? I've been camping for years and I just encountered the first "modern campground" that doesn't. Need to know if I need to prepare ahead of time. I thought it was a general rule that you never move firewood.

They sell firewood but no ice. There is a store up the road at the Glen Echo Resort that sells ice.

Ok thank you. Just a heads up, the forest service at 970-295-6600 has a woman telling people to, "just get cash or check, just drive out , pay at the front, then there's exclusive tent only spots in the back, have fun."

Do we have to have a park pass besides our camping reservations? We do have a senior pass for the National parks.

You do not need anything other than your camping reservations. The camp ground is located on Forest Service land. I see that you never asked about cars but just to be clear, you can have two. There's isn't room for more than that at a campsite.
