First time here and will come again. Nice area ... they have vault bathrooms, spacious sites ... they have a garbage can ... and well water ... cost $16 bucks ... they have a picnic table and fire pit with a grill ... good fishing area ...

No there is a reservation system with the forest service this time of the year, it nominally coats about 23$ a night, but when you need to make a reservation it is another ~8-10$ processing fee so if you stay for one night it is about 30, or around 50$ for two nights. In the off season it is first come first serve and there are no processing fees so it is a little cheaper. No

Ansel Watrous is open now but very packed since its the only one open right now. If you keep driving west the fire damage is substantial and heartbreaking. Starting May 1st all camping slots will be by reservation only. This includes the FF tent sites.
