Wagner Falls Scenic Site

I wasn't sure what to expect when I found this site on the list of places to visit while in Munising. I stopped at it on my return from Hiawatha National Forest to my lodging - a small, hard-packed dirt parking lot at the bend in the road - thankfully sporting large signage. There is a short walk to the actual waterfall - both the trail and the boardwalk/lookout area are well maintained. The walk is actually amidst old, character-filled trees. Sun filtered in through the leafy canopy - enough to add light, but not enough to overheat the cool, shady trail. I arrived mid-morning (June) when the sun was creating stunning highlights off of the roaring water as it cascaded down. It's quite loud - as expected by any waterfall - but not so much that you have to yell to be heard. In fact, the few visitors that were there at the same time (or arrived a little later) spoke to each other in almost hushed tones. The energy that the waterfall gives off as it roars down, is somewhat intimidating and yet captivating at the same time. That it is in such a picturesque setting increases the allure of it.

Beautiful!! Easy to get to not far off the beaten path but it was at least a little bit of a walk not like a couple of them that are right on the road

Beautiful waterfall a short walk from the road! Definitely a must stop place. Maybe 30 minutes spent total. PokéStops here.
